An amazing place to stay on Isla Holbox! The room was super clean and fresh. The place is very well organized with great staff! The breakfast was good, you can order a laundry in case of any need which helped us a lot! The whole interior design with attention to details was remarkable! It is such a relaxing space with a nice pool area and sun terraces as well. We felt like in the Robinson Crusoe's book. I can only recommend this place!

The staff was super friendly and always willing to help with anything. The breakfasts were delicious and at night you can't miss the fireplace in the dining room which is perfect for a good wine, hot chocolate or coffee.     One of the most amazing vacations we have had in a while! The staff, the rooms, the ambiance, clean beaches, conveniently located, everything was amazing! We spent 5 days here and honestly was so relaxing. Wifi was great, air conditioning, room amenities, all fantastic. I will say the private pool was cozy, although the water was not temperature controlled. The staff is wonderful at assisting with setting up dinner reservations, Cenote tours, towels for the beach, etc. We came in October when the season is slower and with lower occupancy was really nice. Saturday night is their beach club party and well worth it. Pro tip, buy water and alcohol from local convenient store and keep in your room. Water is $6 per bottle everywhere and that adds up just as fast as alcohol. During the party, you can go back to your room and have a few before returning for the party. :) Highly recommend asking the staff for bicycle rentals and using them to get to places during the day! At night however, be mindful and get a taxi for your safety. When we go back to Tulum, high chance we will come stay at PPP again!

    It’s a smaller Hotel. The staff was really friendly and always trying to help doesn’t matter what. Everything you need for relaxation you get in the hotel. The food was really delicious. I liked a lot the buffet for dinner and you can choose your main course Al a carte so it was very fresh, just made for you.

We traveled with our 6 year old and we all loved it. An added bonus was the heated private pool with each casita. We loved our morning and evening swims.

    Safer than advertised in uk. Police around every corner but we don’t believe they need to be there. Lots of friendly people. It’s a little off putting that store holders shout at you to go in their shops but I suppose they want the customers. I’m just not into being dragged into shops, I like to choose where I go in. Most shops are selling the same items too

    As a family with tweens we did not enjoy Tulum & will not be back. The kids were not allowed many places/ restaurants. Algea covered the beach (it was july), the restaurants were priced higher than where we live but the quality of the food was poor. If you are a family I would skip and go elsewhere. The cenotes in the reason are awesome!

    Holbox Island was great.

    Holbox Island was great. The center has an easy/casual vibe but lively and has good restaurant and store options. They had some great trendy cafes, also the streets are sand and can get flooded so don't plan on dressing up. We took the ferry there and a private boat back. I like the private boat option better. It was just as quick and a little cheaper and we had a really early flight so the ferry's werent working. If you have an early flight from Cancun, do not stay the night before on Holbox Island. It will require some extra planning if you do. The sandbar is beautiful. We went to coco beach to see the Bioluminescence by ourselves and it saved us lots of money because we were a big group. The taxi drivers are not very friendly but they typically follow the prices that they post but you will get the sly one sometimes. overall, I would reccomend Holbox and the Island life.

    Most beautiful city.

    Most beautiful city. Antigua was the historical capital of Guatemala, and was destroyed in an earthquake. The city has beautiful historic buildings, some of them are ruined. The city center (Parque Central) has many Maya oriented people who are celling art crafts and souvenirs to the many tourist. The wear the traditional outfit, not as a tourist gimmick, but as there everyday clothes. In many cases they are working with the whole family including children and babies, and carry their merchandise on their backs and heads. The view point (Miador) is also beautiful. The city has many nice cafes and restaurant and probably the most beautiful Starbucks branch in the world. You can get from place to place easily and cheaply using a Tuk Tuk or Uber.

    Check out the two light shows at the downtown church and the ex-convent. Both, unfortunately start at 9pm so you might have to catch them at two different times. For more affordable food options, don't bother eating at the Calzada de los Frailes restaurants. Most places are overpriced!

    Bacalar is a great place but need to trim the streets of branches for flow of traffic .i choose a 5 star hotel but was very disappointed with my room and structure it is not my type more for back packers i asked for cancelation but they refuse so i did not stay there i had to get a other hotel . at 62 years why climb 8 feet to get on my bed very dangerous for elders

    Safer than the last time I went to Guatemala - about 25 yrs ago- . A lot of non tourist places to explore. Beautiful country side. The only tourist area I explored were Antigua,lake atitlan, Flores which are well suited for tourist, with all the services they might desire. Other parts of the country some level of spanish is required. I spent 7 months traveling mostly northern part of Guatemala, only seeing a fraction of what the country has to offer to travelers.

    The town is charming, the restaurants serving local cuisine are delightful and the summer climate is amazing. 15 degrees at night and 22 or so during the day with no humidity. There are many activities in or near San Cristobal and we enjoyed the local parks at Arcotete and Grutas del Mamut. Our dogs were able to run off-leash and explore the forest. We spent a month at a Spanish language school (San Cris) which was a wonderful place to improve our language skills.
