The service at this hotel is absolutely outstanding. From the moment you walk in, you’re treated like a special guest. We truly felt like everyone there cared about us and our happiness. The hotel has so much character. We had the pleasure of staying in a penthouse room number 401, and the views were breathtaking. The hotel is within walking distance of everything.

Very comfortable stay. The hotel design was refreshing decorated by many live plants. Our room was very spacious with wonderful facilities at high quality. Very warm inside with heating(we did not use as it was warm enough), cozy blankets and even a bed warmer at night. Cusco can be very cold at night so it is important to stay at a hotel with enough heating. In addition, we liked the breakfast and dinner of the on-site restaurant. Services were great too.

Location was excellent, Lady and the breakfast team were amazing. The young man on night shift could not have been more helpful. Overall the staff were amazing and always helpful. The rooms were super clean and the beds were very comfortable. Overall we loved out stay at Afma and would recommend it. Our bags were looked after when we were hiking and our washing was done at a very reasonable price.

The location is great, within walking distance to the main square, but smin a quiet area, off the main roads. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I had a very comfortable stay. This is not a party hostel, so at night everything was quiet, perfect to rest. The beds arranged as little pods are comfortable and allow for privacy.

Cusco, at least the city center, is charming, with narrow hilly cobblestone streets to explore. Lots of good restaurants to taste the traditional Peruvian cuisines, or elevated fusioned. Love Cercanía Pan y Café, a bakery coffee shop with awesome bread options (nearby the Museum of Santa Catalina Monastery, which was House of the Chosen Women under the Incas time). The main plaza is tourist saturated but it's also the charm of traveling?

If you can, see Machu Picchu early in the morn or in the late afternoon for best pics and fewest crowds. Take the bus up to Machu Picchu and then walk the stairs down to Aguas Calientes if you have 2 hours for the trek and strong knees/ankles to manage the stairs. Don't let travel agencies rush you from Cusco/Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu and back to Cusco in one day. Definitely spend the night in Aguas Calientes before or after your visit to Machu Picchu. The town has a lot of character and tremendous beauty. Lots of choices for dining, shopping and spas/massages. We wish we had stayed 2 days!

Pisac is a great place to acclimatize if you are coming into the highlands from Lima or Amazon basin. It is charming small town with lots of historical interest. Archeological Pisak is well worth spending some time on. If you are looking to acclimatize to higher altitudes, Pisak is a better starting point that Cusco because the altitude is about 1500 ft lower and it is closer to Sacred Valley attractions.

Everyone seems happy and caring. They don't seem to mind the tourists. Its very unique in so very many ways. Safe, a chance to unwind and get back to nature but with all the modern conveniences if necessary.alot of fun for every type of vacationer. Shouldn't miss the Marriott - great artisans everywhere. The food is so wonderful. Amazing. A learning experience, as well. I left an American and came home an Indian at heart.

Started early and arrived machu picchu at 6:30am. Our guide Peter knew where to go to position ourselves to having nice photos. We were super fortunate that the fog came and went and didnt linger long. Suggest not to go late cuz by the time we finished which was after 3.5hrs there were so much people already. Take the Circuit 2 route if you have time. Its definitely worth it.

The Pisac archeological park is very interesting and takes 2 - 4 hours to see. Take the taxi up to the site and consider walking down back to the townsite through the park to see additional ruins. Several good restaurants and coffee shops in Pisac. Easy to walk anywhere in town. Central plaza is a pleasant. Short drive from Cusco, could do as a day trip.
