The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is set in a beautiful garden within walking distance to the town center. Our room was spacious as was the bathroom. If any of the rooms offer a tub, pay extra for that! would be a gorgeous spot for a long bath looking out over the town and forest.

Everything was just perfect! A lovely welcome gift in our room for our honeymoon. The receptionist was really friendly and he gave us lots of information and tips for our visit plans. The breakfast was excellent! There were lots of good choices that put us in difficulty with what to choose. The location is perfect! Close to the train station.

    It was a perfect place to stay for my daughter and I to do our one day sightseeing in Sintra. Andre was super helpful and assisted us every step of the way; assisting with taxis, great restaurants, sightseeing recommendations … you name it … he did all!. Communication overall was great. The location is prefect and it is quiet. Parking is super easy and secure as well, which was very important to us.

    Someone was waiting for us to pick up the keys even though we got in after 9 pm. The facility was very quiet which was relaxing. The pool was beautiful although we never went into the water, and there was a view of the beach which was close. Close to all amenities. Staff were friendly, and someone was always around doing maintenance, or tidying the facility.

    One word: magical. From the moment we checked in the front desk team took amazing care of us. The room was perfect. Our deck looked out at the castles. The grounds smelled of flowers. There were toys for the kids. Breakfast came beautifully presented. Town was a short walk away. I wish we could have stayed a week.

    Good beaches and amenities within walking distance. Handy to Sintra, surrounding areas and Lisbon, particularly if you have a car, but public transport options were available too. Colares was relatively quiet compared to Sintra and it was great to escape the hustle and bustle. It a beautiful location, set amongst the tress and tends to be a little cooler than Lisbon, so was a very comfortable temperature, even in the height of summer.

    Thank you to Katarina and her husband for the cosy accommodation! All the amenities are in the house. This is a great place for a quiet holiday. Nearby are the historical sites in Sintra, the Atlantic coast, great seafood restaurants. I recommend this place for an unforgettable holiday.

    If you're traveling to Portugal, Sintra is a must-see destination. While the Pena Palace and other famous historical sites offer plenty to see, nearby Cape Roca and the coastline, accessible within 30 minutes, offer a truly captivating experience.

    This location was great.

    This location was great. You can choose to stay in the town and enjoy the beach, restaurants, etc or venture to other nearby attractions like Praia Grande & Arribas Saltwater Pool, Azenhas do Mar pool, or take the trolly (or drive) to Sintra and other towns in the area. My young kids and I enjoyed going to the beach around sunset/low tide to walk the beach, enjoy the small pools of water, etc.

    Sintra is a beautiful, almost magical, place.

    Sintra is a beautiful, almost magical, place. Get your walking legs on as there are many hills, but everywhere in the town and the hills is beautiful. Castles, ruins, gardens, the sculpture gallery, good food. Sintra is well-served by a very central railway station with frequent trains between there and Lisbon.
