Wonderful staff, very clean and comfortable rooms. We never left the hotel or entered the hotel without a warm greeting. The room was very quiet even though it was facing a road and was completely booked during our stay. We heard no one and nothing from outside. We needed a crib for our baby and I was surprised when a real crib showed up, not just a pack-n-play. Each day housekeeping even made up his little crib. Best hotel we have stayed in in the city, and probably the best in a long while anywhere. The train station is right outside your door. Green line straight to Midtown and Yankee Stadium, it was a breeze.

We have visited NY before but never more that a day.

We have visited NY before but never more that a day. We were on our way back from a vacation in Europe and decided to spend a few days in NYC. We walked everywhere including down to Battery Park from our mid-town hotel (Carnegie) and never once felt threatened or unsafe. We took the 4 or 5 (?) subway express back from 911 Memorial and only at one stop was my "radar" up albeit briefly. No issues- totally counter to the dominant perception of NYC and safety. We ate dinner at Carmine's and Patsy's. Carmine's, you were good...but...sorry ...Patsy's was little better. Try both- but if you have to choose one- go to Patsy's. We checked all the boxes we wanted out of this visit to NYC- Central Park, St Patrick's, Fraunce's Tavern, 911 Memorial et al but I know there's so much more there- we will return some day.

The staff was disrespectful and lazy.

The staff was disrespectful and lazy. They don’t want to do their job as far as house keeping is concerned, they don’t even want to give you towels. As for the building, it is known for prostitution, drugs and god knows what kind of other illegal activities goes on in that place. The staff plays along with all that goes on in there and they act as if they don’t know what’s going on. The rooms are filthy and the noise level at night is crazy. It’s one of the worst hotels to ever vacation on, it’s not worth it for all that money.

Lack of parking was very frustrating.

Lack of parking was very frustrating. We drove around for literally an hour looking for a place to park on a Sunday. Lots everywhere were empty but there were no attendants or it was just places that you were not allowed to park like weekend closed business, even though there was plenty of parking available in their lot. And then to be out on the street where there is zero parking available it was unbelievably frustrating. We cut our trip short and left at 6:00 in the morning because I was afraid of my car getting towed on Monday morning. Street signs were vague and all of them had limited days as well as limited hours that you could park on those days and none of them without a parking permit. Nothing would bring me back to Jersey City. Nothing.

Bronx is a good place but the house and all the shenanigans about no one picking the call but texting only. I thought it was a hotel not knowing it’s a house in some dark places in Bronx. I texted the person back that I’m not interested because I feel uncomfortable and have asked for a refund of $203. Shiiii….
