Staff was great. We were uncomfortable the first night because of an issue with the air conditioning and were upgraded at no charge. My 3 year old son called the front desk a few times and all the staff were so cute and sweet with him. We especially appreciated Jessica who helped us extend our stay. Definitely recommend!

Super 8 by Wyndham North Bergen NJ/NYC Area, hotel in North Bergen

Minutes from the attractions of Manhattan, this hotel in North Bergen, New Jersey offers access to a shuttle to and from New York City, 7 days a week for a charge.

The convenience of it being on a main road with access to buses to New York. Most people caught the buses that stop outside the hotel. I never saw a hotel shuttle as mentioned in their amenities. Breakfast is very basic, bagels (cream cheese or butter), coffee, tea and juice.

Cozy Apartments close to New York City, hotel in North Bergen

Cozy Apartments close to New York City enjoys a location in North Bergen, 5.7 miles from Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and 6.2 miles from Radio City Music Hall.

It was in a good comfortable area with lots of stores, coffee places, and restaurants open quite late. Lots of public transportation come by very frequently and were an easy way to get to New York or around New Jersey. It's next to all of this and still able to be a quiet comfortable area day or night. There is WiFi, a television, decent bathroom, and good AC. Rules of the place are easy to remember and there was information about that as well as the WiFi password. Host was quick to get ahold of if need be.

We were offered the Hotel as a substitute to a facility in Manhattan. We have not seen much from North Bergen. Originally, we expected we would be much closer to New York where we planned our program. BUT it is quite convenient that there is a large supermarket (Target) and several fast-food restaurant within walking distance.

North Bergen is a safe neighborhood, it was quiet at night.

North Bergen is a safe neighborhood, it was quiet at night. Living in NJ is the best way to visit New York while having a car. Parkings are tough and expensive in NYC downtown. While you can live here paying less and maybe having a free parking for your car. you'll have shuttles coming and going throughout the day which can take you to Times Square for around (3-7$). but if you're visiting just for NY and you want to enjoy every moment of your day, I'll recommend not renting a car and living in the downtown area while everything is within walking distance from you.

We stayed for roughly a week's stay here.

We stayed for roughly a week's stay here. It's a small town, but it has the basics: food stores, dollar stores, and several other businesses. I felt safe walking around in day, and night. We mainly went to New York using public transportation, but North Bergen was a quiet, quaint, small town.

we found multiple roaches in the room, to which we basically got a shrug when we went to the lobby to tell them. above the night stand was missing a light, and there was this faint clicking noise that was constant throughout the entire stay. in addition all of the vending machines were broken and there was only one small cooler full of lukewarm water. elevators smelled weird.

Many guests we spoke to were going on a cruse so used the hotel as a car park and overnight stay not a place for a vacation stay in our opinion, there is nothing to do in walking distance of hotel so would need a car to get around. The place looked too industrial and very run down in the surrounding area, not a place for a family holiday with kids! You will need to be very fit if walking anywhere from hotel as it is on top of a very steep hill. There are no proper resturants nearby to our hotel, there is a bus stop opposite to get to New York. Wont be staying there again because of location but the staff were fantastic at fairfield hotel and suites by Marriott.

If you want to go to NYC from North Bergen the best option...

If you want to go to NYC from North Bergen the best option is taking public transit, about $3.50-5.10 one way. Due to the bridge tolls an Uber will cost about $35-60 one way. Getting TO New York via bus was very easy HOWEVER, taking the bus from the Port Authority Bus Station was extremely confusing. You have to select a bus (even though you usually have multiple buses that can take you to the same stop) and you also have to pick zones but they can change depending on the bus and not the location of your bus stop.

Easy access to New York Time Square, NJ Transit bus stop JFK Blvd is 10 minutes by walk from the hotel. It's just $3.5 one way from/to Port Authority Bus Terminal and tickets can be bought with Credit card in NJ Transit mobile app. Buses are available even at midnight and safe to walk from the bus stop to the hotel. The hotel provides free and a decent breakfast for all guests. The room size, bed size and facilities are good.

This property was so accommodating for us! We took a red eye and landed almost 7 hours before our check in time and they were very understanding and let us check in early! Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to take a trip to NYC. The bus across the street (the 127) takes you straight into Port Authority which is about a 5 min walk from Time Square.

Staff was very helpful! They went the extra mile to accommodate our needs. Hotel itself was very clean and close enough to NYC (uber was approx $35 USD each way, though sometimes it would get to $50 to get to the empire state building). It was great value for money!

Good location, not far from Manhattan/American Dream Mall. There are restaurants within a few minutes drive. Hotel had gated underground parking. Room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. We did use the pool: small, but clean with towels provided.

The rooms were clean. The hotel was adequate, but it does need some TLC. The sofa in the room was all ripped up and the shower had rust spots near the shower head. The beds were comfortable.
