Just 8 minutes’ walk from the iconic Times Square, Dream Midtown features a rooftop lounge with views of Times Square. Everything!!! great value for money! perfect location.
The north part of the park from the 90th street and up has a more natural and wild landscape which is really lovely, especially in the spring with all the daffodils and crocuses flowering - it’s gorgeous! A little more south, around the 70’th streets you can get to the reservoir and walk around. Gorgeous place to spend a morning walk or an afternoon, there are paths for bicycles and roller
It is such a breath of fresh air - quite literally! As a Londoner with easy access to Hyde Park and many others, I did not thing I would be as impressed as I was walking through the park, but I could not have been more mistaken! It was a lovely break from the city and such a peaceful experience walking all the way from the Lower West side to the Upper East side and took a lot less time to cover so much ground that I thought! I would highly recommend renting a bike if you're feeling like getting a little bit more exercise and covering more ground. Cannot wait to go back!
A great place just to walk around or you can either ride a bike or take a horse and buggy ride it is quite a big area so it would take most of the day to see. There are people selling things or things that you can eat I love Visiting Central Park when I am in New York.
Definately do the 1 hour horse horse and carriage ride. A great way to see most of the park. We had a very personable guide called Robert who with his horse Josie made it a very interesting and memorable part of our visit.
Central Park is a great place to escape the noise and hustle and bustle of New York. There is a great little cafe in the park called Le Pain Quotidien which served great coffee and pastries. Lots of walks and different areas to see in the park.
I've been there over ten times. You can never see it all! I use to stay close by and get a bus every day to a different place of it and just start walking. Love to sit in the shade to read and rest. During summer it's crowded, but anybody bothers other people and lots of street artists make your day!
LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION! I highly recommend the Manhattan Club. My wife and I stayed in the city lights suite, the room is huge, and updated. Separate area for bedroom, living area, kitchenette, toilet, plus two closets - you don't see something this size in Manhattan. The hotel is located in the perfect location for time square, Rockefeller center, Central park, 5th avenue, restaurants, bars, etc. We literally walked everywhere didn't have to use the subway once.
The Jewel was the perfect location for our trip! The Concierge employees were very helpful when we had questions. The activities we planned were within walking distance. Even the walk to Central Park was doable. Within the hotel, Loved the location of our room, second floor, near coffee bar, large window looking on the street across from the Big Christmas Tree in RC. While the room was very small, it suited our purposes. Bed was clean and comfy. The hotel property was clean too.
We had a one bedroom suite on an upper floor with a view of the Hudson River. There is a very nice grocery store directly across the street. Zabar's gourmet store & deli is a few blocks. Hotel Beacon is close to many restaurants and shops. Fabulous location on New York's Upper West side. Close to Central Park. Hotel exceeded our expectations. Daily housekeeping was appreciated. Housekeeping staff is very helpful. Will definitely stay here again!
Midtown East, New York
Great location, friendly staff and comfortable stay. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment with a terrace and kitchen. It was a lot of space compared to other places to stay in Midtown East. A few blocks to subway and walkable distance to Rockefeller, Times Square and Central Park. Parking garage on next block was $45 per day with hotel validation (no in-outs). Whole foods and restaurants close by. I would recommend this place and stay here again.
DaVinci Hotel is a wonderful New York bargain. it is a three star and the building is older. But everything is clean and freshly painted and the lobby has been completely updated. The staff is excellent: friendly, available and helpful. There is an Italian restaurant downstairs. Broadway and Times Square are within a ten to fifteen minute walk. Central Park is a reasonable walk in the opposite direction. I have stayed there several times.
Location and Staff along with a quintessential NYC hotel. I've stayed in many properties in NYC from Central Park down to South Side Seaport. I would rank this as an Average property in the $200-$250/night class. Very clean with great staff, room and especially bathroom a bit on the smaller side. Location great for Theater and East side shopping access.
I loved our stay! One of my all time favorite hotels that I have stayed at. The hotel was in a perfect location for Broadway shows, Central Park, Times Square and so much more! The hotel was very clean, had super comfortable beds, was very safe and had very friendly staff. Despite being right in the middle of Times Square the room remained quiet.
The location was a few blocks south of Central Park and a few blocks north of Times Square. It was just far enough away from the craziness but close enough so that I could walk there and not need to take the subway. The room was large: a one bedroom apartment with a small mini fridge, sink, and microwave. The living room couch was a daybed.
Bigger than I was expecting for a New York hotel room based on previous stays in New York. Not huge, but bigger and was fine by me. Price was fair and location was excellent. Walked to all sorts of sights in Midtown...would need to subway to south or north of Central Park, but that's expected.
The location of the hotel is great for those who wish to explore NYC's most popular attractions. It is walking distance from Central Park, MoMa, Empire State Building, Cruise piers, 5th Avenue, Times Square and many lovely restaurants and shops.
try to organise by location. NY is huge so museums and Central Park together made sense. Also, try to get started early morning and look to avoid mid-afternoon.
Beautiful blossom in the spring, Central Park is an amazing and huge space, great for walking or cycling. The HighLine is a must do also
Parks of the city like Bryant and Madison are non-obvious like Central Park but they can recharge your energy.
Don't forget to pack your comfy shoes or trainers this is the best place to explore on foot and if you get a little tired, take a rest in Central park or Grand Central or the New York Public Library. If you get really tired or if the weather turns make sure you invest in a weekly Subway pass the best way to get from the top to the bottom of the city for only 30 dollars!!!
30 rock at night, a walk in Central Park to the Met, a drink at a rooftop bar
Take a walk out the hotel and you are only1 block from Central Park You can take a horse drawn carriage or a bike powered tour around the park. You are only two blocks from 5th Avenue and all the shopping your arms can carry.
