The north part of the park from the 90th street and up has a more natural and wild landscape which is really lovely, especially in the spring with all the daffodils and crocuses flowering - it’s gorgeous! A little more south, around the 70’th streets you can get to the reservoir and walk around. Gorgeous place to spend a morning walk or an afternoon, there are paths for bicycles and roller
It is such a breath of fresh air - quite literally! As a Londoner with easy access to Hyde Park and many others, I did not thing I would be as impressed as I was walking through the park, but I could not have been more mistaken! It was a lovely break from the city and such a peaceful experience walking all the way from the Lower West side to the Upper East side and took a lot less time to cover so much ground that I thought! I would highly recommend renting a bike if you're feeling like getting a little bit more exercise and covering more ground. Cannot wait to go back!
A great place just to walk around or you can either ride a bike or take a horse and buggy ride it is quite a big area so it would take most of the day to see. There are people selling things or things that you can eat I love Visiting Central Park when I am in New York.
Definately do the 1 hour horse horse and carriage ride. A great way to see most of the park. We had a very personable guide called Robert who with his horse Josie made it a very interesting and memorable part of our visit.
Central Park is a great place to escape the noise and hustle and bustle of New York. There is a great little cafe in the park called Le Pain Quotidien which served great coffee and pastries. Lots of walks and different areas to see in the park.
I've been there over ten times. You can never see it all! I use to stay close by and get a bus every day to a different place of it and just start walking. Love to sit in the shade to read and rest. During summer it's crowded, but anybody bothers other people and lots of street artists make your day!
Beautiful, clean apartment with 3 great bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The location was incredible! It's situated right between Madison Avenue & 5th Avenue, 1 minute from Central Park. The apartment itself was great for us - 3 bedrooms, clean, tidy, spacious and warm. Great hot and powerful showers. It was really good value for money and we would absolutely stay there again. Our City Hero was very responsive and even sourced a crib for us on a Saturday evening.
The location, close to time square, central park, broadway and shopping. I like that the hotel had two very nice restaurants you could choose from. I thought it was going to be a continental breakfast, not were you could sit down. I also like the fact, a bar is attached with live music, which we enjoyed very much. The hotel very much exceed my expectations. When we come back to New york, we will definetly stay there again.
The hotel provided beverages and snacks all day long, which is very convenient. The hotel was also very clean, with nice decoration and had an awesome location, super close to central park and fifth avenue. It was also convenient that they had a parking agreement with the parking lot next to it, definitely wast free but it was a good price for nyc and good not having to look around for parking.
The location was fantastic! Great restaurants and markets nearby, easy to grab coffee and food for the apartment. We were able to walk to Rockefeller Center, Central Park, and shows on Broadway. There was coin laundry on site, although we did not use it. Sarah met us at check in and showed us around. She was readily available by text all weekend. Would definitely stay here again!
I like that you can the subway ( the 1 uptown/Bronx) straight to the hostel. This place is clean, safe, and hip. For the price it's better than a motel.Love that they have a laundry service that is very affordable. Plus you are down the street from Central Park .
The location of this hotel is phenomenal! It was closed to everything 5th avenue can offer, shops, the Rockefeller Plaza, Radio City, Central Park, MoMA, etc. Only takes 5 mins to walk to Central Park. There are also restaurants around that are affordable (NYC standard).
The staff was outstanding and the location couldn’t have been better for visiting Central Park. In particular, the hotel location was incredible for my wife who ran the New York marathon.
Location is excellent, hostel is next to central park. Room and shared restrooms were also very good and clean. No shared spaces or kitchen to get hot water or prepare something simple.
Location! Very close to Broadway theaters, Columbus Circle, Central Park and many superb restaurants, all walkable from the hotel!
Hotel is close to Central Park and some of the main museums in NY.
try to organise by location. NY is huge so museums and Central Park together made sense. Also, try to get started early morning and look to avoid mid-afternoon.
Beautiful blossom in the spring, Central Park is an amazing and huge space, great for walking or cycling. The HighLine is a must do also
Parks of the city like Bryant and Madison are non-obvious like Central Park but they can recharge your energy.
Don't forget to pack your comfy shoes or trainers this is the best place to explore on foot and if you get a little tired, take a rest in Central park or Grand Central or the New York Public Library. If you get really tired or if the weather turns make sure you invest in a weekly Subway pass the best way to get from the top to the bottom of the city for only 30 dollars!!!
30 rock at night, a walk in Central Park to the Met, a drink at a rooftop bar
Take a walk out the hotel and you are only1 block from Central Park You can take a horse drawn carriage or a bike powered tour around the park. You are only two blocks from 5th Avenue and all the shopping your arms can carry.
