Times Square is something that has to be seen to truly appreciate. However, be prepared to be overwhelmed with the amount of people and the sensory overload! Don't pose for pictures with or even interact with the characters in costumes, unless you intend to pay them. If you want to see Times Square at the least stressful time, go at 3am. And the best food in NYC is NOT in Times Square.
My comments are only negative because everything got shut down and our trips were all cancelled due to Coronavirus so everywhere was either shut or empty. Just bad timing but lucky to have survived the experience.
Mixed Emotions. One night, immediately as the rain was gone, I met a melting pot of languages and advertising displays right there on Times Square and felt landed in a vision of tomorrow. But it was nowadays. That let me think over some things. And especially for this we need such unique places. I love that.
WOW!!!! Times Square is definitely one of those must see places in New York!! And that is any time of the day!! But it is most spectacular at night....the lights, the people, the atmosphere...the place is a buzz ALL THE TIME!! I highly recomend a visit to Times Square for any traveller.
If you attending a count down you need to bring adult nappies. Toilet is not accessible. Once you In that's it, if you going out there is no way you can back in. Backpacks, ambarella etc.. you cant take it inside. Overall visits my family enjoyed our stay except the countdown very unorganised.
Always something going on, day or night. Behind the Ruby steps is a ticket booth selling discount theatre tickets, however it pays to contact the theatres direct if you can as quite often when buying from them they can be cheaper!
A charming 52-story hotel with a wonderful view. Clean and tidy, courteous and special service around the clock. the hotel facilities are slowly opening according to the city's regulations regarding Corona. in Bottom line, location, location, location! Times Square, Metro station and all the great shops right under your nose, with a very fair budget! highly recommend!
This hotel was in a great location! Not a long walk from the subway or Times Square. The room was a little small, but honestly, all rooms in New York City are small at the price we paid. The grab-and-go breakfast was great, the staff was friendly and I felt the Covid precautions were great, masks in public spaces, hand sanitizer everywhere!
The staffs were super friendly and accommodating. The hotel was clean and cute. We stayed at a few others hotels in the city previously and were a bit disappointed. We came to The Times Squares Edition with low expectations and it exceeded our expectations. We will definitely stay here and again!
The pool was very cool. Probably the shining star of the hotel! The hotel and rooms design was very modern. The night staff was very friendly, more than the day staff. It is in a great location if you're doing times square stuff.
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The hotel was staff was friendly and the accommodation were nice. Close to Times Square and public transportation I recommend they get a guest microwave, but otherwise it’s a good hotel.
The location is good for tourists since it is closed to Wall Street (south) andt Times Square (North); however, the smell in the entire city is so awful that penetrates the hotel. The cost was too high for what we get.
The room was large. I visited two different hotels in Times Square until I found the right fit. Going forward whenever I come to New York I’m only staying at this hotel.
the only advantage of this hotel is its location. it is very close to Times Square. the stuff was polite and the cleaness of the room was acceptable.
I had a great time I will let everyone one know and yes I will stay another time when I come to Times Square New York in Riu Plaza Hotel. Thank you !
Excellent hotel ! Perfect for Times Square . Fire alarm went off at 3:30 am but they were great at getting us back in an orderly manner .
Choose a substantial section of the city, say Lower Manhattan, plot the sights you wish to see on a map so that you do not have to retrace your steps, take public transit to your starting point and begin your exploration. We started at the 9/11 Memorial and worked our way north, including City Hall, the Merchant's House, Chinatown, the Bowery, Washington Square, the White Horse Tavern, the High Line and the Garment District. Of course, there were all kinds of surprises, which added to the experience. We began at 10 am and were back at our Times Square hotel by 4 pm.
The Broadway experience is such a classic part of going to New York. The standard of performance is so high, and the atmosphere as you spill out towards Times Square afterwards is unforgettable.
Well, They're iconic! Statue of Liberty, Empire State, Top of The Rock, Times Square are things you must visit who you're there!
There are so many historical sights and architecture to see and behold. You can walk the stretch of Broadway and Times Square and you'll see many attractions already.
Times Square is very busy as are most of the main tourist attractions, but the hop on hop off busses are great or if you don't mind walking choose another street other than broadway and it is far easier to walk down
Visit the city during the week. You could visit locations without being mobbed. Times Square on the weekend (first weekend in June) was a zoo - too crowded.
