Times Square is something that has to be seen to truly appreciate. However, be prepared to be overwhelmed with the amount of people and the sensory overload! Don't pose for pictures with or even interact with the characters in costumes, unless you intend to pay them. If you want to see Times Square at the least stressful time, go at 3am. And the best food in NYC is NOT in Times Square.
My comments are only negative because everything got shut down and our trips were all cancelled due to Coronavirus so everywhere was either shut or empty. Just bad timing but lucky to have survived the experience.
Mixed Emotions. One night, immediately as the rain was gone, I met a melting pot of languages and advertising displays right there on Times Square and felt landed in a vision of tomorrow. But it was nowadays. That let me think over some things. And especially for this we need such unique places. I love that.
WOW!!!! Times Square is definitely one of those must see places in New York!! And that is any time of the day!! But it is most spectacular at night....the lights, the people, the atmosphere...the place is a buzz ALL THE TIME!! I highly recomend a visit to Times Square for any traveller.
If you attending a count down you need to bring adult nappies. Toilet is not accessible. Once you In that's it, if you going out there is no way you can back in. Backpacks, ambarella etc.. you cant take it inside. Overall visits my family enjoyed our stay except the countdown very unorganised.
Always something going on, day or night. Behind the Ruby steps is a ticket booth selling discount theatre tickets, however it pays to contact the theatres direct if you can as quite often when buying from them they can be cheaper!
The location was amazing for a stay in New York City!! It is not only in the times square area, but it also has so many of the subway stations close by that it really is an amazing hotel location. I was pregnant at the time of my stay so having things close by and tons of options to get back to the hotel (in case I needed to go back to the bathroom, BTW there is a bathroom in the lobby that works with your hotel room card so you don't have to go all the way back up to your room) was a big deal and would recommend just based on location.
It is New York... in the middle of times square... what more could anyone ask for. I was in the middle of it all and my 2 young boys LOVED it! The tree at Rockefeller was the main attraction and it didn't disappoint at all! My stay at the hotel was GREAT! I believe the young lady at check in... I think her name was Alyssa?? *spelling.. SHE was a SUPERWOMAN!! She was a walking swiss army knife! Huge kudos to her and the other staff members who were more than welcoming to the building.
Very clean hotel. From the moment you walk in smells so good. Room was very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful when needed. Very secure you need your key card to use the elevators to your rooms.Great location you can walk to subway and Times square very easily. The rooms are super quite and the hotel is located on a quite street so you don't hear a lot of noise. Extra clean which is supper important. This is a new hotel so everything looks very good. Excellent price.
Great Hotel in a great location! Very friendly staff and easy transportation options. Very fun stay over Christmas with 2 taxis rides, HOP ON HOP OFF bus tour, Carriage in the Park ride on Christmas Eve and a bike rickshaw ride around Times Square on Christmas Day. I did have to miss my tour bus ride through the Christmas Lights neighborhood because of there being no bathroom breaks in the half day tour, and my helicopter ride over the city because of fog.
I loved that everything was walking distance. For our first time in New York, this hotel was close enough for us to walk to. We visited Central park, Times Square, Bryant Park, the Empire State building, and Rockefeller Center. The hotel is about 15-30 minutes away from all these wonderful places. I would love to stay here again the following year. We stayed here 4 days and they even allowed me to have a late check out.
The room was clean with a very comfortable bed. The location was good and close to Broadway, Times Square and close to multiple restaurants. The front desk people were very nice and helpful. The hotel stored our bags when we had to check out so that we could continue our exploration of New York City.
I chose this hotel because it was close to the train station and the theater district, but not right in Times Square. The room was clean and modern. Loved the big windows and the translucent window that let light into the bathroom. It was also very quiet.
everything was so beautiful, from staff that they are very nice and helpful to a room's view and the cleanliness, also I liked how much it's close to times square. definitely I will stay in this hotel whenever I'm in New York.
The location close to Times Square was the ONLY thing we liked about this hotel! The restaurant had good food. Too pricey for New York and what we got though.
The hotel is quite central and well located, within a short walk from several main attractions, including Times Square, Broadway and the Empire State Building.
Choose a substantial section of the city, say Lower Manhattan, plot the sights you wish to see on a map so that you do not have to retrace your steps, take public transit to your starting point and begin your exploration. We started at the 9/11 Memorial and worked our way north, including City Hall, the Merchant's House, Chinatown, the Bowery, Washington Square, the White Horse Tavern, the High Line and the Garment District. Of course, there were all kinds of surprises, which added to the experience. We began at 10 am and were back at our Times Square hotel by 4 pm.
The Broadway experience is such a classic part of going to New York. The standard of performance is so high, and the atmosphere as you spill out towards Times Square afterwards is unforgettable.
Well, They're iconic! Statue of Liberty, Empire State, Top of The Rock, Times Square are things you must visit who you're there!
There are so many historical sights and architecture to see and behold. You can walk the stretch of Broadway and Times Square and you'll see many attractions already.
Times Square is very busy as are most of the main tourist attractions, but the hop on hop off busses are great or if you don't mind walking choose another street other than broadway and it is far easier to walk down
Visit the city during the week. You could visit locations without being mobbed. Times Square on the weekend (first weekend in June) was a zoo - too crowded.
