My comments are only negative because everything got shut down and our trips were all cancelled due to Coronavirus so everywhere was either shut or empty. Just bad timing but lucky to have survived the experience.
Mixed Emotions. One night, immediately as the rain was gone, I met a melting pot of languages and advertising displays right there on Times Square and felt landed in a vision of tomorrow. But it was nowadays. That let me think over some things. And especially for this we need such unique places. I love that.
WOW!!!! Times Square is definitely one of those must see places in New York!! And that is any time of the day!! But it is most spectacular at night....the lights, the people, the atmosphere...the place is a buzz ALL THE TIME!! I highly recomend a visit to Times Square for any traveller.
If you attending a count down you need to bring adult nappies. Toilet is not accessible. Once you In that's it, if you going out there is no way you can back in. Backpacks, ambarella etc.. you cant take it inside. Overall visits my family enjoyed our stay except the countdown very unorganised.
Always something going on, day or night. Behind the Ruby steps is a ticket booth selling discount theatre tickets, however it pays to contact the theatres direct if you can as quite often when buying from them they can be cheaper!
Its amazing to see, once. But is so crowded just walking g, especially with children, is dangerous and it's so packed sometimes it's a pick pockets dream come true.. SO CAUTION IS A MUST. Frankly, I think it's way over rated...just a bunch of stores, people, lights and billboards jammed into a very small space.. Big deal.
Room was average size, not tiny like some rooms in NYC. Hotel was nice and a great location near Times Square. BEWARE OF PARKING OVERAGES! THEY "VALIDATE" PARKING NEXT DOOR, BUT THAT JUST MEANS A DISCOUNT FOR 24 HRS. IF YOU GO OVER THAT 24HRS, EVEN BY A LITTLE BIT, THEY WILL CHARGE YOU AGAIN FOR ANOTHER FULL 24 HRS OF PARKING. I called and they will not pro rate to charge you just for an hour over and had to pay for another full 24 hours. That was very disappointing for an otherwise very pleasant stay.
Check in was quick and the staff was very nice. They greeted us every time we left and entered the property. The room was clean and we had plenty of towels and pillows. The beds were very comfortable and the Heat/AC could be controlled in our room. Nice large tv in the room also. The lobby was amazing- it reminded us if the many lounges on cruise ships we have seen- very fancy and large (1 block long!) The hotel was very close to Times Square and Bryant Park.
Awesome hotel for young people, minimalist and cozy.... facilities are great, have attractive activities inside the hotel (bar, restaurant, barbershop, tattoo studio)due covid-19 some areas closed. About location are close to pen-station(subway, rail train, train), times square, shops and close to the most important attractive area of NYC.
Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Location is a PLUS. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is take out (little bag per person) includes granola bars, orange juice, fruits and yogurt. The hotel connects with The 5th Avenue, mins walking to Times Square, Bryant Park, Grand terminal, and almost all other landmarks .
The location of the hotel is perfect it’s right by 34th street and Times Square is not too far. There’s restaurants, pharmacies, fast food, there’s even a liquor store near by. The room was a bit small but I perfect for an intimate stay. 10 out of 10. They charge 100 deposit per night.
The hotel is in a prime location. We had a partial view of the street of Times Square but mostly of the buildings across the street. The lobby is reminiscent of Christmas even though it was New Years. Upside is parking is included in the stay which is commodity in the city.
Central located, close to Times Square and a lots of good restaurants, train stations, pharmacy, stores, etc. If you are in a Budget, there is a $0.99 pizza place 1 minute walking. I love how clean the hotel was, the staff and the efficiency.
The location of this hotel is perfect. The view from my room was amazing, overseeing Times Square, really cool. The room was clean, the bed was really comfortable. Nice breakfast in the morning.
The room had an excellent view of midtown Manhattan great view of the empire state building .The hotel exceeded my expectations. Times Square is a short walk away.
I loved the location of my hotel just minutes away from Times Square. Shopping, local attractions and a variety of restaurants are well within walking distance.
Choose a substantial section of the city, say Lower Manhattan, plot the sights you wish to see on a map so that you do not have to retrace your steps, take public transit to your starting point and begin your exploration. We started at the 9/11 Memorial and worked our way north, including City Hall, the Merchant's House, Chinatown, the Bowery, Washington Square, the White Horse Tavern, the High Line and the Garment District. Of course, there were all kinds of surprises, which added to the experience. We began at 10 am and were back at our Times Square hotel by 4 pm.
The Broadway experience is such a classic part of going to New York. The standard of performance is so high, and the atmosphere as you spill out towards Times Square afterwards is unforgettable.
Well, They're iconic! Statue of Liberty, Empire State, Top of The Rock, Times Square are things you must visit who you're there!
There are so many historical sights and architecture to see and behold. You can walk the stretch of Broadway and Times Square and you'll see many attractions already.
Times Square is very busy as are most of the main tourist attractions, but the hop on hop off busses are great or if you don't mind walking choose another street other than broadway and it is far easier to walk down
Visit the city during the week. You could visit locations without being mobbed. Times Square on the weekend (first weekend in June) was a zoo - too crowded.
