From the moment I walked in I was greeted by amazing Dona, she took care of everything, even once on her afternoon off. Her 5☆ sence of hospitality made me feel so much at home that I extended my stay. Big room with balcony, comfy bed, fridge. A/C, good wifi. The best location only 2 min walk from the park entrance Everything is around there and the beach is only 5 min walk. Bus stop.a short stroll. No need to take a taxi. A big encouragement to the owners daughter who was replacing at the reception. Very pleasant & helpful girl.

Selina Manuel Antonio, hotel in Manuel Antonio

Offering a year-round outdoor pool and children's playground, Selina Manuel Antonio is located in Manuel Antonio in the Puntarenas Region, 1.4 mi from Manuel Antonio National Park.

I absolutely loved the layout! You feel like you are staying in a villa, each room is positioned on different levels of the stairs. 3 pools! Each with a different vibe, one for social gatherings and a volleyball net, one for a more zen pool time with the occasional monkey/iguana visit, and one that is central to the private rooms. A rooftop terrace overlooking the jungle was a unique and perfect for social spaces to get to know people. The restaurant and bar are easily accessible, delicious food and great servers! The rooms are cleaned once a day which is refreshing after long days at the beach when you are covered in sand. Selina hosted a different activity every night that was welcoming, inclusive and tons of fun for everyone who joined! The staff were very approachable and very helpful! I recommend this hostel to anyone staying in Manuel Antonio! It gives you the opportunity to branch out and meet new people every day as a solo traveller!

If you are looking to see monkeys and sloths, this is the place for you! Manuel Antonio National Park is full of wildlife and nature. There are also beaches for every type of tourist within the park. It is an easy bus ride from Quepos (300-400 colones), about 15 minutes away. If you want a good and cheap meal, I recommend street empanadas! Look for someone with a cooler or ask around.

Beautiful national park and the amenities in the surrounding...

Beautiful national park and the amenities in the surrounding town are plenty. It was easy to walk around, although take notice of the traffic on the main road. It got pretty busy and fast sometimes. We stayed near our resort for meals within walking distance- El Wagon was a good family spot for dinner's not spent at our resort. We had an excellent lunch and cup of coffee at Emelio's Café. The town has plenty of grocery stores for any daily needs. We only tried two beaches. Playa Bisanz had tricky parking and the guys watching cars honestly looked a bit sus. We did not stay there for long. Playa Manuel Antonio was absolutely beautiful. The park fee/ reservations keep it low key and it's well worth the visit and admission fee. The water was warm and the beach clean. Watch your belongings as the capuchin monkeys that bounce around are more than happy to raid your bag, as we witnessed happening to one of our fellow beachgoers. If you're driving yourself to the park, take notice of the official parking. The locals are harmless but a bit aggressive with trying to get you to park in their lots so they can charge you. We got forced into a lot by a gentleman jumping into the road, then kicked out when we told them we didn't want a guided tour with them. We laughed it off, as we could have easily just driven around him. If you book your adventures with a company, they all offer transpiration. That said, a guided tour with a reputable company (We did Jade Tours) for the national park is a must. We saw WAAAAY more than we would have on our own, including a sloth fight. Well worth the fee. We also did a kayak/mangrove tour with Narcacosta and a guided horseback/waterfall tour with Brisas del Nara- I cannot say enough good things about either one of these organizations. Top tier experience, knowledgeable guides, and beautiful facilities.

    Good beaches.

Good beaches. Espadilla, even when crowded, is large enough that you can walk a little and get a fairly empty beach if you prefer. A car is a must-have if you plan to explore the town, but you're not missing much if you stay in a resort with beach and jungle access the whole time. The most expensive restaurants are good, all others are nothing special and just okay to not be hungry. You'll get better treatment as a foreigner because people expect tips, so definitely take advantage of that if you are one.

Very nice resort-spa in the middle of nature with its own monkey trail. Nice rooms and great pools, nice food at the restaurants. Staff were super nice and helpful. We haven’t seen much wild animals during our first days at other places in Costa Rica, but at this hotel we saw the most animals just by sitting at the pool; sloths, monkeys, ara’s, tucans, lizards etc.. 🤩 This place is very recommended to people who want to have a relaxing time but also see animals en want to do things like hike (at manuel antionio park and monkey trail)

Our room was next to pool area with mutiple cabanas with beds. Pool side bar. Beach is about 5 mins from hotel. Manuel Antonio Park entrance is 7-10 mins walk from hotel. No need for a car if staying here. Local bus on main beach road can take you around area to next town, it runs frequently. Beach area has surfing, dining, atm, small shops, cheap beach tent rentals. We originally booked only one night but decided to stay 3 instead for the end of a 16 days vac.

It's a small, two story hotel shaded in trees with direct access to the ocean, about a 50 yard walk. It has a secluded setting with a nice swimming pool and a cafe. It is a short stroll along the beach or the road to several restaurants and also markets. Access to the Manuel Antonio National Park is a 10 minute walk away. The local bus is available from the lobby to go to the nearby town of Quepos or the Park entrance.
