First and foremost Alan our host. Nothing was too much trouble. The property was immaculate. The room was beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable with pristine linens. Our bathroom was spotlessly clean and I very much enjoyed the waterfall shower.

The chalet was magnificent. The bed was wonderful. The kitchen was spacious and well furnished. The hot tub was clean and a very nice temperature. It was private, the view was very good. Our hosts were fantastic. The airline lost our luggage, Tim and Sue were patient with all my questions and allowed us to use their home address so the luggage could be delivered. The walk to Seven Sisters was very nice even though it was rainy and windy. Walk along the seashore instead of the main road into town. And use the trails!!!

Midway between Brighton and Seaford offers a quieter place to stay with some 3 miles plus of seafront, good facilities in the town and a great place to be based from. The iconic coastguard cottages at Cuckmere Haven can be walked from Seaford Head or drive to Hill Barn and the walk is not so strenuous. Great views towards the cliffs of Seven Sisters. From Seaford local attractions such as Alfriston, Lewes, Beachy Head are all within easy reach. Plus of course Dieppe via Newhaven ferry that is just a few minutes drive away.

We would recommend the Salts Recreation ground and cafe.

We would recommend the Salts Recreation ground and cafe. Also the shops are excellent, and the town is not crowded. Our favourite place to eat was the Old Plough hotel, excellent roasts and menu with helpful staff. Children enjoyed outings to the local library, the train ride to Lewes castle, Drusilla's Zoo Park at Alfriston, and trips to Eastbourne Aquapark and Brighton Pier. The beach is not sandy and it is advisable to swim near the life guards.

A town by the sea as opposed to a seaside town and that’s what we liked, totally unspoilt. Quirky shops, good selection of cafes and about 4-6 restaurants open in the evening. Great sea views and walks: South Downs National Park, Alfriston, Cuckmere Haven and Beachy Head. Two golf courses. Town has a railway station (easy to get to Newhaven for the ferry, Lewes, Brighton, Eastbourne,Gatwick and London). Historical Martello tower has a small museum.

Very nice small town near the beach. This was a walk through memory lane as our children used to go to summer camp when they were little. We’re from Spain and really enjoyed the quite life at this peaceful town

Interesting location, good selection of coffee shops and eateries, easy access to seafront and beach (I’m used to sand so pebbles alarming but had been forewarned so brought appropriate footwear). Great walks and close to South Downs if wanted to explore further. Enjoyed early morning walks along seafront. Think only downside was the steepness of the pebbled beach, scrambling back up very difficult especially if mobility problems

Seaford is very easy to navigate.

Seaford is very easy to navigate. There are plenty of shops< cafes, pubs and restaurants , but doesnt seem overcrowded. However our trip was out of season. The most impressive for us was the sea front. Easy to walk along and the stony beach, with a tide that didnt go out too far
