My girls ( granddaughters 21 and 11) are fish so first thing is the pool! I can actually be in the whirlpool next to them which I also love! And the smoke area outside is Beautiful that sealed the deal! Finally our hostess for breakfast was Delightful! Please tell her how special she made us feel room 404

nothing wrong with the bed or shower. But - they do not supply anything. If you choose to stay at the Crabby Customer Service Troll Inn - you will have to bring everything. They provide a small bar of soap but no toiletries but no blow dryer. BUT - if you want a blow dryer - you have to give the unhappy desk troll your ID. No, I am not kidding. And she will not tell you that when you call down to ask if the hotel has one. She will tell you that when you go down to retrieve it. It's her thing. She has little control in her life so attempting to make anyone in her path unhappy is kind of her super power. Yes, you have to give your ID over - which she lazily puts on her desk as she puts paperwork on top it not securing it so in case it may fall or conveniently be lost - oops. And you will get it returned once you drop it off.

The staff were very nice. Check in and out was super easy. Room was so pretty and clean, all four of us fit comfortably without feeling closed in. We had 2 beds and still had room to walk around.

Room was very large except for the bathroom area. There was a small living room with pullout couch and chairs and a small kitchenette. Breakfast was better than most locations, although the food served does not change on a daily basis. This location was very quiet, has two very nice walkable restaurants nearby, and featured free onsite parking which you don't get as you move closer to Chicago. Check in staff were nice/friendly. A bit firmer beds and options with different pillow shapes and thicknesses made sleeping nice.

    Standard was as good as we have found in similar hotels. The place was quiet despite being near a busy road, the rooms were comfortable and clean with nice towels and bedding, always a plus to find. breakfast was adequate and coffee was as good as it gets.
