I visit Eastbourne 2 or 3 times a year, normally for the International Tennis Championships and other Tennis events and sometimes for work. Eastbourne has some great restaurants. Favourites of mine are Bistrot Pierre which has fantastic views overlooking the sea and if timed right amazing sun sets can be viewed from here! Good food and drink in a friendly, welcoming environment. Others I like include Little Italy, Pomodoro E Mozzarella, Favaloso. On a day off I took the red bus trip (hop on/off) brilliant way to see Eastbourne. I got off every stop to the final destination Beachy Head. The following day I drove with a friend to East Dean where we had a nice lunch in the Tiger Inn and a visit to the little church. Would not have known about this place had I not done the bus trip! To visit when there is the AIR Show on or Classic Car Event etc would have been better for us. To h poolave been advised of Shows being staged at the time. The Hotel swimming pool was pleasant but there were no mattresses visible to place on the hard sun beds.
