By day, view the falls from the riverfront promenade, or for an up-close-and-personal experience, the Hornblower Niagara Cruise takes you right into the swell. Rain ponchos are provided. Alternatively, there’s the Journey Behind the Falls – a walk through the rock behind Niagara. Handy portholes help you experience the thundering water.
Slightly downstream are the American Falls, less well-known and less impressive, but worth a look. At night, both falls get illuminated by colored lights – an incredible sight. Further downstream is the Rainbow Bridge which you can walk across to get an American stamp in your passport. Just check your visa requirements first.
The city itself has 7 golf courses, with one right by the river – be careful with your swing! Other Niagara Falls attractions include casinos, movie theaters and Marineland Canada, featuring the world's largest whale habitat for viewing orcas both above and below ground.

The falls are beautiful.
The falls are beautiful. I have been there several times throughout my life. The only upsetting part is how much it has changed. The tourism has taken over. Now the parking is so far away, it is 36.00 to park in every parking lot, it is best to park and buy the bus tickets. You'll go broke just paying for parking. The motels and restaurants charge to park to patronize their business. The casino also charges to park there. The flowers throughout the town are just beautiful. My Cousin Vinny's Restaurant has a band that plays every night in the summer months. The band we listened to was great. The lady singing is there 3 nights a week and worth going to see. The boat ride up to the falls was disappointing for me. Having rode the Maid of the Mist years ago, which was amazing, this ride seemed to be more about getting you soaked instead of the view of the falls. It was very difficult to take pictures. Everyone we come across was very pleasant. It has been a lot of years since we had visited the falls, we have decided that this will probably be our last.Guest review byHarding - 4.0

The spectacle of the falls was a great experience, going on the boat near the falls was so funny and wet! The nightly fireworks was fun to watch, if you go here you must visit Niagara on the falls, its a beautiful area with lovely wineries and a quaint little shopping area with artisan shops, much better for souvenirs than the downtown area, which for me it was too commercial with silly shops full of rubbish events, I guess designed for families with young children certainly wouldn't be a cheap visit!Guest review byJosie62United Kingdom - 10.0
Really awesome to see the Falls and the surrounding area.
Really awesome to see the Falls and the surrounding area. The Canadian side was nice as we were able to do the Power House night tour. Cool LED lights and projected videos in the space made for a great experience. Also the Tunnel down to the base of the falls is really worth the price of admission to the Power House tour. We did the City Boat tour that brings you to the bottom of the Falls on the next day and my kids and I both enjoyed it. It is a smooth operation and a really cool experience. The city was nice with lots of things to do. However, everything seems to be pretty expensive including activities, parking, and food. The views are free and pretty amazing. They have lots of great walking paths along the river and falls area where you can see plenty without spending more than just parking.Guest review bySmith
