Lots to do and see. Variety of activities available. Public transport is very good. People were very helpful when we asked for advice. The Vietnam House in Fortitude Valley served excellent food as did the Breakfast Creek Hotel.Guest review byPatriciaAustralia - 10.0

I do love the Gold coast, everything is there that I need, but especially the many choices of Accommodation (my fav to stay is Chateau on beachside SP), the GC white sandy beach, Lifesavers are all along the beach, there's Surfers Paradise market (we were there during August/ so 3 days @4pm-9pm in winter months), walking paths, shops, cafe's and restaurants are all great. One thing my brother and I did notice is the Tram/ bus services were terrific, Get a 'GoCard' and hop on a tram to get around.. tap it on/ tap it off. do not get on a tram without one of those, you will be fined. I've been going to the Gold Coast twice a year for past several years, on my breaks in between work and contracts.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Love the Cairns Esplanade with wonderful vibe.
Love the Cairns Esplanade with wonderful vibe. We travelled to Fitzroy Island for colourful coral and tropical fish. Mareeba Innisfail and Atherton Tablelands for lovely towns and countryside with waterfalls and rainforest were a highlight. We saw platypus and flying foxes and other fauna. A trip driving along the scenic Captain Cook Highway to the markets by the sea at Port Douglas we would recommend. Beautiful country pubs for a midday meal.Guest review byTonyAustralia - 8.0

To see all the attractions and tourist attractions guests would definately need to consider a hire car. We could not have achieved what we did without a hire car. Dining options in the Palmer Mtreet area are excellent.Guest review byRhondaAustralia - 10.0
Spent a lovely week in Airlie Beach.
Spent a lovely week in Airlie Beach. Main attraction was the wonderful weather! Beautiful sunsets each evening, with a good selection of restaurants and bars from which to watch the sun go down. Big range of boat trips - we had a wonderful day out on the Whitehaven Express. Cheap local bus service. Enjoyed the walk from Shute Harbour to Coral Bay and well as a fantastic rainforest walk with Driftwood Tours.Guest review byMartinAustralia - 10.0

We hired a car from Cairn airport to travel to Port Douglas for 5 days. We booked the snorkeling tour as well as the Daintree tour, both were well organised by the tour leaders. The restaurants were great but very crowded, luckily my daughter has booked everything in advance. Very good experience for our family, we might plan to go again in the near future.Guest review byThien DungAustralia - 10.0

Worlds only proposed Olympic Rowing Course with crocerdiles in the whole wide world.......an incentive for crews to row faster then they ever have before.Guest review bypeterAustralia - 8.0

We enjoyed the beautiful parks and gardens, the historic buildings in the city of Toowoomba, the Cobb & Co Museum. We also liked the short drive to Crows Nest National Park with its eucalypt forest and granite boulders. Breakfast at Cafe Valetta was excellent! Happy to recommend Toowoomba as a good holiday destination.Guest review byOdette - 10.0

Mackay Harbour and foreshore are a must visit, beautifully landscapped with quality building, shops, and fish & chips. 2. Mackay Botanic Gardens are a must visit, and are superior to most gardens. Lovely paths and signposted plants, all overlooking a pretty lagoon. Cafe has splended views. 3. at $0.50c per trip, explore Mackay by riding the Bus network to get an overview of this boom townGuest review bypeterAustralia - 10.0

Hervey Bay was great as the esplanade is long and plenty of shops/restaurants and bars to visit. There is a walking path on both sides and a few jetty's and piers to walk down. The whale watching was incredible and educational and Hervey Bay is the best place to watch them rest and play.Guest review bySonjaAustralia
