Buffalo is coming back. Lots of gentrification. Lots of hipsters running good restaurants. Historically it is as fascinating as St Louis. I had no idea it was the Silicon Valley of the US at the turn of the 20th century. Tesla and Westinghouse and the Erie Canal before really had an impact. The architecture is historic. The weather in late August was amazing!! Absolutely beautiful. Visited the Ellwood neighborhood, on a Saturday. Live music, food trucks, vendors and cute places to shop. I was born and raised in Buffalo although have lived elsewhere for the past 35 years. Was in town to visit family and this was a very Short stay. but long enough to get a Teds hot dog and some sponge candy and a visit to the new Abright Knox Art Gallery. Family visits included North Bflo, Tonawanda, East Amherst and Cambria easy access from the hotel. Always said to can get around Bflo and its's neighborhoods all within 20 min.
