We just stayed one night, but a lot of care has been taken over a new refurbishment and our bedroom was lovely. The bar is very tasteful, the food was excellent, and the breakfast next morning was fabulous!

    Lovely town with historic Minster (church) in the centre.

    Lovely town with historic Minster (church) in the centre. Lots of interesting history. Good range of shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants. Plenty of things to do: the Tivoli theatre has films, musicians, plays, etc all year round. There are parks and a river in the town. Very flat and easy to walk around. Pubs with regular music nights! Irish and folk music.

    Staff are lovely and very welcoming.

    Staff are lovely and very welcoming. Great Italian restaurants nearby, we had dinner at one of them and the chicken in cream and mushroom sauce was divine. We only had breakfast in the hotel a couple of times as we were room only. Visit the minster and visit the library up the winding stairs if open. History there is incredible.

    Wimborne Minster is a very picturesque town, with lots of cafe's, restaurant and shops, both high street names and independents, to explore. Sitting in the square, drinking a coffee and people watching, is a lovely way to pass an hour or so.

    The town has a lovely selection of shops and cafes, something for everyone! There is a small museum, a beautiful church and a model of the town (the latter being great for children)! You can really chill out and relax in Wimborne Minster!

    It was a lovely room at an old inn decorated in a nautical, Georgian theme. The bed was super comfortable. Wimborne, the little market town is super quaint with lots of great restaurants including one related to 1777. 1777 is not a large hotel with lounges etc, but a small place, so some folks may found it restrictive. Personally, I thought it was great.

    A very comfortable place to stay, with a friendly owner, and a delicious breakfast. Perfect for visiting the Tivoli theatre, which is just across the road. Lots of place in Wimborne to eat in the evening. My second visit and I will definitely be staying here again when I'm next in Wimborne.

    The stay at the Kings Head hotel was comfortable with really helpful and friendly staff in a perfect location near to all the amenities with a reasonable price for our stay at the hotel over a couple of days. The breakfast at the hotel was exceptional and was good value for money.

    Anita was an outstanding host who takes great pride in her space. The location is excellent for accessing Wimborne Square, yet quiet and rural enough for a true Dorset experience. Utterly charming and enchanting and equipped with fantastic facilities.
