There is not huge amount to do or see in Truro. We came for the Cathedral, where the services and music are beautiful. Anyone not used to Seagulls in the (very) early morning should bring earplugs. Truro is a good centre for travelling to all destinations in Cornwall. Bus services are good during the day, infrequent after about 6pm but we found them to run exactly as per the timetable. Good views from upstairs. Trains are usually punctual from Penzance but variable from London. Thus, if you are using public transport, this is an excellent central point. We used Truro as our place to stay while exploring Cornwall. There is so much to see in Cornwall in general, we did not give ourselves enough time in the area. Would have liked to have explored downtown Truro more, but spend most of our time exploring Cornwall. The Truro cathedral was beautiful and I am glad we took time to see it inside. We visited Port Isaac, old tin mines, Poldark locations, and the coast in general…..The Cornwall coast is simply amazing.Guest review byCarolynUnited States

It’s 5 min drive from Truro, and 30 mins to St Ives and also went to Pasdow and Port issac on the second day. The room is sparkling clean, the view from it is beautiful ( we were in a double room upstairs). Everything was provided for, even a bar fridge which is rare but handy.
