Excellent location for Blenheim Palace, just a short walk away. Kitchenette downstairs with a spacious bedroom and bathroom upstairs. Light and airy and a very comfortable bed. Everything you need and off road parking on the drive. For a Blenheim concert it was perfect, just a couple of niggles.

Parking can be challenging; the free car park allows only 12 hours out of every 24hrs. Paid parking has max stay of 4 hours so there may be the need to move your car frequently if you're not going out during the day. Lots of pubs and hotels are dog-friendly but there aren't many places to take a dog for a walk. There isn't a lot of grass around unless you want to pay £31 to walk the dog at Blenheim Palace. Woodstock is however a very pretty town with lots of places to eat and drink. Probably better if you don't have a dog or a car though.

A beautiful and quiet place with lots of eateries and interesting shops. Parking is a bit of a pain though as you are only allowed up to four hours and where we stayed had no off road parking which meant that before breakfast you had to dash out and feed the meter. Add to that the problem that the meters often ran out of paper so you could not put a ticket under your windscreen and you might have to write a note to say you have paid.

Woodstock is a lovley place to visit and stay.

Woodstock is a lovley place to visit and stay. Parking is not easy as there are not many places to park. Plenty of different priced accommodation and places to eat. When I stay I always eat at Blenheim Palace as this is my main reason for coming to Woodstock. I would not stay anywhere else as once you are at your accommodation , Blenheim Palace is a stones throw, and the side entrance is in the village. As I am a solo traveller I find it a lovely safe place to walk around.

    Visiting Blenheim Palace close by.

Visiting Blenheim Palace close by. Woodstock is a pretty market town with a good selection of places to choose from to eat out. We enjoyed eating out at The Chef Imperial Chinese restaurant/takeaway where we had a delicious meal for 2 at very good value for the local area.

Woodstock was such a pleasant surprise.

Woodstock was such a pleasant surprise. Woodstock was recommended to us as a way to break up our trip back to London. We stayed two nights and loved it immensely. Blenheim Palace is a must see and the local shops are lovely. We used Woodstock as a base to travel to some other small towns.

Good spot to visit other places ! Limited opportunities in Woodstock as we avoided overpriced Blenheim Palace and went for other places in driving range like the Morris House. We enjoyed the food at the restaurants visited.

The Hotel is well situated for everything in Woodstock, Blenheim Palace & Winston Churchills final resting place. The interior of the venue has been very well designed & finished. We were allocated Room No 5 which was " Up in the heavens " & was spacious, clean, tidy & very quirky. The room had a large very comfortable bed. We ate in the restaurant that evening excellent food & drink, the Staff were all very Polite & professional A great breakfast was consumed the following morning.

Lovely room (we had a twin), plenty of space. Same for bathroom (we had a shower as opposed to a bath). It was very clean, The building has lots of character and is in a great location in Woodstock with plenty of restaurants nearby. There is parking at the hotel which is a real bonus in Woodstock. The staff were lovely and we had a really nice breakfat
