Comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, and good breakfast. The location was great for exploring the Golden Circle, or for heading into the city center. We would stay here again.

Property was very comfortable. Hot tub was a nice treat after spending a week traveling around Iceland in a camper van. The place was a perfect size for two couples to share.

Room was small but clean. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was good and included a mix of pastries, yogurt, meat and cheeses, oatmeal and juices. I think there were hard boiled eggs as well.

This is a based hotel but it was great. Very kind staff and one of our rooms had a kitchen which was a nice surprise and very helpful. Both rooms were of a good size and had fridges. Location is not too far out of the main part of the city, so it was convenient to get to using public transportation and I was able to walk around to get food. There is good onsite parking as well.

The room was very comfortable. We did not interact with any staff as this was a self service place. The touch pad entry could be a little confusing if not accustomed to it.

    Great location if you are looking for accommodation as part of planning to do the Golden Circle. Circa 40-45 minute drive to Thinvellir. Grocery store nearby (sells good quality sushi) however only a few eating out options.

    With convenient location right by the ring road and less than one hour driving from the airport, Hotel Laxnes is an excellent option to start or finish a round trip in Iceland. The rooms are spotless and spacious and the breakfast is simple but good quality, price is reasonable in Icelandic comparison - highly recommended.

    Ásta was always friendly and helpful in our email exchanges. The flat was downstairs in a semi detached building, which you approached along one side. The key was in a small box outside the entrance. The attractive township of Mosfellsbær ( Moor Mountain Township )is nearby ,with Reykjavík not far away.

    Good location that allows you to quickly access Reykjavik or go on a road trip. A great pub and cafe available at the hotel. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. We also saw northern lights right from our room!
