The guy running it was superb. Friendly. Helpful. The room had been recently redecorated. The bathroom looked like it needed a bit more work. Breakfast was superb. I turned up quite late (around 9pm) so they'd stopped serving food. However I was given info on local takeaways so I could grab something.

This place was just stunning: a quiet and secluded farm with a rental cottage, clean and cozy rooms (our daughter loved the bed at the window!), a spacious social area with outside seating (an ideal place to enjoy your fish and chips from the village) and beautiful fields for evening walks that complement the peaceful atmosphere. The property is environmentally aware and waste sorting is encouraged, which is a great plus. The hosts were very nice to talk to and friendly. A lasting memory on our UK road trip!

Great friendly welcome, the pub has a lovely atmosphere and you feel nothing is too much trouble. We were attending a wedding at Priston Mill and the pub's location is perfect for that. There is a little bit of road noise but everything has been done to try to alleviate that as much as possible. The food was excellent, very busy so I would recommend booking a table. Outside seating area available for food aswell. Breakfast completed the stay and the extra touch of a birthday candle in the eggs benedict was greatly appreciated.

    Could not fault the place.

    Could not fault the place. Lovely open fires, the menu had a lot of choices including vegetarian. Nothing was too much trouble and they even sorted some soya milk for my sister as she cannot have normal milk.off the beaten track but lovely n quiet with a walking trail. An overall lovely stay

    Everything could not of been better, from the staff to food ,the room & of course the drink . Staff always willing to help. The food was fantastic ( you just have to try one of the oggies ), we used to stay over at the hotel 20 yrs ago & alway remembered it as a nice place so thought we would get away for the day & try it again, although it was a long time ago nothing has changed it is as good now as we remembered it back then. A really lovely place with everything to match from the people to the food.

    We booked the hotel for a visit to nearby Bath, as we couldn't get anything in town with guaranteed parking facilities. Overall it was a pleasant stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and they went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The breakfast was excellent - much better even than in some more expensive places. And the cosy, pub-like hotel restaurant offered good food.

    Lisa, the host is fantastic, very warm and welcoming and lovely to chat to. my stay was great, the room is very comfortable and has the same little extra you’d find in a hotel. the house is located in the lovely countryside and easy to find with plenty of parking.

    Lisa was absolutely fab! I was really nervous about staying in someone's house as normally I book into a hotel and she was so warm welcoming. I slept like a log. Will definitely be staying again and bringing family.

    This is a country pub and I guess met my needs. I think I was expecting more of a hotel cum pub - so really not the proprietor's fault if I was not too enthusiastic. .
