There is so much to see that is really close as well as the big sites like Pompeii. We enjoyed visiting the gardens of Cimborne & Rufolo. A walk up to the Valle de Ferriere is a cool green oasis steeped in history away from most tourists. Having traveled to the larger cities of Italy, the pace is definitely slower in Ravello, but there are tourists everywhere. Getting to Ravello is difficult. The road is curve after curve. Lots of good vantage spots of the sea. Villa Cimbrone is worth the walk.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

For us by far the best town on the Amalfi coast. Not too crowded (May) with plenty of restaurants and cafes to choose from. Tourist shops but not overly commercial like other coast towns and ports.
