Fabulous - you can spend a couple of hours or a whole day, there are 3 floors of beautifully curated exhibits from Bronze Age to the sophisticated calligraphy for which Korea is famous, AND of course cafes, a convenience store and a restaurant and an excellent museum shop

One of the nicest museums we saw in our two week stay.

One of the nicest museums we saw in our two week stay. It's architecture and layout were world class. Dramatic and informative instillations. Not only extensive Korean historical displays, but international ones. Lovely gift shop and cafe. Plan on 1/2 a day at least.

Free entrance and very regular change of special exhibitions...

Free entrance and very regular change of special exhibitions. Because the entrance is free, you can just spend 2 hours focusing on one interest and come back another time for something else. There is a very large collection of exhibits and we have been there many times. Perfect place to go and learn something new about Korea and its history during the extreme cold winter weekends (or wet hot summer weekends).
