Fujikawaguchiko is nice and quiet place, but little bit boring. No nightlife, or great restaurants. Walking trails and roads overgroving with weeds. The town has lake, but no place to swim. Apart from what I have already said. I would like to say the reception staff were brilliant. They helped us with rooms that we hadn’t booked and when we needed an extra night they kept us in mind and as soon as there was a cancellation, they got us 2 rooms. Highly recommend. Getting to the town from Tokyo was relatively straight forward and getting around the town itself using the sightseeing bus was good too. Great view room and outdoor bath. Great onsen with seperate ladies area. Hard pillow neck hurt. Lousy check in asked to use iPhone QR code for all Info. Smaller than expected room and bed. Hard to sleep 2 people in bed. Food is not good best to eat out of hotel. Have to walk 20-30 minutes downhill to restaurants below. Be prepared to hire taxi if handicapped to leave hotel. magnificient! the view of mount fuji is awesome
magnificient! the view of mount fuji is awesome from the place we stay is walkable to lake kawaguchi. as muslim family we walk to the mosque (kawaguchi) & found a halal eating place (quite a walk but nice walking through the serene neighbourhood (we used google map) however, the place to eat is limited but we make do with lawson-kawaguchiko & 7-11, so no complaint👍Guest review byNurhayatiMalaysia - 8.0

I will say the nights I spent was right, but I will like to visit again and stay at a villa. I definitely recommend finding a villa, or villa-hotel to stay in because the ambiance and vibes are enhanced. There were Halal restaurants as well in Fuji, so that is not a complete worry. Moreover, I will recommend that you come with a car as there are some destinations that are far, but Fujikawaguchiko is well connected by public transportation to other Fuji areas such as Fujikyu, and some places such as the lake was walking-distance.Guest review byShaimaUnited Arab Emirates

Would be very nice in clear weather as you can see mt fuji straight from the window. Sadly when we were there fuji was not visible at all because it was snowing through the days. Location wise it is near lake kawaguchiko, however it is not very convenient if you don’t come with car, as it is a bit far from station. If you come by car there is free parking. The building is near the lake, and it takes only a 5-minute walk to see Fujisan (of course, if there are no clouds or fog around it). The staff were very helpful and informed me where the nearest public onsen was. The breakfast was very delicious — you could choose between continental and traditional Japanese food.
