Portpatrick is a quaint seaside village with great access to the outdoors. A good stay, in my opinion, is all down to the weather. Unfortunately the prices in the sea front bars are 'city prices' with a pint of lager coming in at £6.50. Usual prices in the region vary from around £4.00 - £4.50. We had booked this hotel for our wedding annniversary and had travelled from Edinburgh to stay the night. It was in darkness on our arrival and a note on the door to say to check in we had to go to the Harbour House.
