The location was excellent, walk to everything, beaches, shops, recreation. The unit was very spacouis, kitchen well appointed, full size refregirator,washing machine/dryer. Bed was very comfortable.

It was a good price, had a fridge, microwave and shampoo and soap in the bathroom. The room also had air con and a fan. It was clean and quiet. It's perfect if you are looking for a nice clean stay just for a night or two.

What an amazing little find! If looking for a clean "pet friendly" ( a must have) private and quiet location, then this hideaway is perfect! Being able to leave the screen door open or sit outside and work was greatly appreciated. The most exceptional part of this charmer is knowing my Senior, Sooty, a working Dog in my Business, was able to be inside/outside with me, was safe and in a clean environment. CLEAN environment. This is a must have anywhere I stay with here. She may have her eyes closed, but those ears are working around the clock. When you have a baby, animal or human, cleanliness inside and out is a must. Especially if they are roaming around on the ground or floors. The outside is hosed down and the floors spotless. If you pay attention when you are between gates, you may be blessed with a visit from the property senior dog. She is sweet and welcoming, but don't blink too quickly, she makes an appearance to see whats happening, gets a pat and is gone. What a great clean hideaway, just what we hoped.

    I use to live over the road in a villa home but moved south to nsw and I wanted to visit my neighbours on my trip to Hevey Bay. A great holiday place to visit and close to Australia Zoo. A great shopping area and markets every Sunday.

    I actually stayed at Kings Beach and the view from my apartment was wonderful. There was lots of walking pathways along the shore line. Although there was much more to see my walking ability was limited. Shearwater apartments were very clean and situated in an ideal position opposite the beach and close to the Surf Club which provides an excellent restaurant.

    Nice place that has changed a lot since I first visited 20 years ago. If you have a car, make sure you stay somewhere with parking that's close to services so you don't need to drive around much and pay for parking.

    Caloundra is such a beautiful spot on the Sunshine Coast — perfect for a short escape from Brisbane. The travel time was super convenient, and it was easy to explore other nearby Sunshine Coast destinations as well. The scenery is stunning, especially the beaches and the scenic boardwalk, which made for lovely morning strolls. The local markets were a great bonus, offering fresh produce and unique finds. Everything felt relaxed but vibrant, with just the right balance of nature and local activity. I’d highly recommend Caloundra and the Sunshine Coast in general for anyone looking for a refreshing coastal getaway with easy access and plenty to do — or just the chance to unwind by the sea.

    Excellent location, close to everything we could possibly need and right on the beach. We especially loved the 'local feel' of Kings Beach itself. We were greeted by the owner of Capeview, Andy, who is very friendly and helpful. Plus any of the cafe owners and Surf Club staff were very warm, fun and friendly. We also loved the ground floor apartment as we had easy access to the beach, the pool straight through our own private courtyard and the car park directly below the apartments.

    The ocean & town views were amazing from the 12th floor. Walking distance to beach, cafes & restaurants, and retail therapy. Short drives to hinterland & areas north& south of Caloundra. While we waited for Tropical Cyclone Alfred to make landfall, we had a terrific view of the outside world. And we always take Boggle & Bananagrams, crossword puzzles, a deck of cards & reading material on our annual holiday to Caloundra.

    The view across Golden Beach to Caloundra was beautiful. The room had a large balcony and a good sized living area. The bathroom was spacious with a spa tub and over bath shower. Kitchen facilities were adequate for 2 nights but a little small; we were aware that it was a kitchenette, although a coffee pod machine would have been great. Decent sized fridge, kettle, toaster and hotplate made breakfast easy.

    I didn't expect to like this hotel but I did. Does what is says on the tin. Our unit has a ocean views from our balcony. Its a 5-minute walk to Bulcock Beach, but my favourite bits are their swimming pool, hot tub, and sauna which I tend to use after a warm day on the beach.
