I love nature / gardens so really enjoyed what was on offer around Siem Reap. Highlights were the Botanical Gardens, Butterfly Paradise, Angkor Silk Farm, walking along the river, tuk tuk rides into the countryside. Siem Reap is an ideal place for those who are interested in culture, history and architecture. Even though the temples are in ruins they are magnificent. The town itself is tiny, but has a few bars, restaurants and shops. It’s incredibly inexpensive, finding places that have .50 cent draft beers was wild. The people are incredibly friendly, hospitable, and genuinely work hard to meet your expectations. A short tuktuk ride was less than $1, the street was fairly clean, we just had 2 beers because it was late and we were tired but the service was excellent.Guest review byTrentonUnited States - 10.0

The city has a lot of attactions to see and do. there day tours to the temples just out side the city. The is the old market, which is great place to take in the local food. However, crossing the streets can be a bit of a challenge. The cross walks are more like guidelines and not traffic will stop for you. You might be hit by a motorbike or two if you are not carefull as they will not stop or slow down.. Just move slowly across the street and the traffic will flow around you. ( Best advice I can give, other than taking a Tuk Tuk around....) But, if you are wandering around, There are plentry of food stops and bakeries that will keep you busy during your time there.
