A Great place to stay with good local amenities and the apartment was clean nicely decorated and well equipped. When I first saw the door to the place I was a bit skeptical then I saw the stairwell and thought it was gonna be bad but then the apartment was fantastic and the neighbors too!

AMAZING! Place is beautifully situated in the hills, it’s surrounded by trees and just amazing scenery. The interior is decorated fantastically-in a way that is luxurious but also made us feel comfortable (like it wasn’t stuffy or stuck up). Staff were all amazingly friendly, the food was superb! The bar drinks were great also! Really took us back in time.

I am sorry the area was awful it was above an Indian restaurant and the corridor we had to go through was full of household rubbish and bags that were leaking the stairs were covered in grime and I have already reported on the inadequacies of the room I am trying to get a rebate but I will continue to post negative feedback until somebody contacts me with the view to sorting this out

No idea what the town is like as this was just a convenient overnight stay en route between Bournemouth and Oban. We only visited a local supermarket for fuel: Dumbarton had the best fuel prices seen on our whole trip though.

The town itself is looking a bit run down but efforts are being made to improve it. St Augustine's Episcopal Church is beautiful and is where Charles Rennie MacKintosh was married in 1900. We haven't visited the Rock nor the Maritime Museum but intend doing so sometimg.

Disappointing - What previous guests thought, 245 reviews
I didnt like the apartment. entrance was to messy to start with, garbage was there just after the main door. Keys were not in the lock box and after calling few times found the key below the matt. i didnt like the area also. As far as apartment is concerned, it was not clean, things were put in floor like cattle and some other stuff. Didnt feel safe as main door was open and we couldnt lock the doors from inside while using different keys. All in all, not recommended.

A great base for exploring Loch Lommond and Dumbarton is a nice town! We had everything we needed for our stay with washing machine and fully equipped kitchen and very comfy lounge for our group of 4. Also 2 toilets and there were no stairs to climb which was great all on the lower floor. Good communication with host would recommend!

The room was good, very clean and all that we needed. The bed was comfortable but the duvet was too warm however a blanket was supplied immediately so all was fine. Breakfast was very nice with a good selection of alternatives to the standard bacon and eggs etc. We had dinner in the hotel 2 nights and the food was lovely.
