Santa Barbara was absolutely beautiful!!! It was really lush and green there! The wildflowers were blooming everywhere! The mountains and hills were super lush and green and very beautiful! The Botanical Gardens are incredible and are filled with poppies and wildflowers! The Mission, Courthouse, State Street, Stearns Wharf, and Alice Peck Park are all amazing places to visit! The weather was a perfect 73 degrees for most of my trip, until the last day. The people were all very nice and pleasant to deal with. Brophy's, at the Harbor has the best fish and chips that I have ever had!! There were some whales right off of the Harbor that I was privileged to see! There was also an awesome feeding frenzy that brought in hundreds of pelicans and cormorants to dive into the water at the same time!! It was phenomenal to watch. People who have lived in Santa Barbara all of their lives have never seen anything like it!!! It was an absolutely amazing trip!

We visited in February when unknown to us was the film festival, the weather was perfect, town seemed quiet even with film festival which was a bonus, still able to grab tickets. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, lots with outdoor eating with patio heaters. We enjoyed the SB Whale watching trip we did, small exclusive boat made us feel VIPs and saw plenty of humpback whales. Easy to walk around the town, but also easy to drive and explore neighbouring Montecito

For seafood, Lure is amazing!!! Chad's and Cajun Kitchen are great breakfast spots.
If you are there on Sunday, see the Art/Craft Market at the Beach. Lots of amazing stuff and all the vendors are so friendly.
Also, a huge recommendation to Olive Hill Farms in Los Olivos. Great place for oils and vinegars.

Loved the beautiful landscaping and architecture everywhere.
Loved the beautiful landscaping and architecture everywhere. Clean city and easy to navigate while driving but MapQuest misguided me numerous times. Excellent ethnic food restaurants. Lots of choices. I’m recommending “Meet Up” Chinese, “Your Place” Thai and “Masala Spice” Indian foods. Meet Up was first place I’ve ever been served by a robot!!!! Very cool!

Santa Barbara has a lot to offer from beaches to hiking...
Santa Barbara has a lot to offer from beaches to hiking mountain biking to sailing and other outdoor adventures. I would have liked to have more time to explore. Relax at the rose gardens at the mission, hike more, beach sunsets and dinner downtown. Getting around is easy. Biking is fun! I would avoid the traffic in the funk zone on Friday night. Park in a paid lot and walk in is what I recommend. Also check out the Farmer’s market downtown on Tuesday nights and Saturday mornings. Wishing everyone a great time!
This hotel was amazing! Our room was basically an apartment with a kitchen, living room, and separate bedroom with a walk in closet. I do like to clean my room upon arriving to a hotel and it was already spotless. When we requested our room to be cleaned, they were so quick, but thorough! Breakfast was light (egg bites, yogurt, pastries), but very good. The location was awesome. Near the beach, gas stations, freeway, restaurants, and little markets. Probably the best hotel we've ever been to!
On our 15 day road trip, we stayed at 10 different accommodations. This is by far our favorite and we stayed at some very nice hotels along the way. Room was spacious and well decorated. Bed was comfortable and the balcony was very nice. The location was amazing and we loved being able to cross the street and be on the beach. Staff here was very friendly. We will absolutely stay here again if we are ever back in the area!
Harborview is my go to hotel in Santa Barbara. It is always welcoming, clean, orderly, and in one of the best locations possible...right at the foot of State Street and across from the Ocean. It does not get any better! The rooms are large and laid out nicely with balconies or patios. The ocean view rooms on the street are nice but the ocean view rooms overlooking the lovely grounds and pool are the BEST.
This Motel was the best place we stayed on a 3 week trip. Its in a perfect location near the beach, marina, and the Main street of Santa Barbara. The staff were all lovely, really friendly and helpful. They put on a really lovely continental breakfast included in our stay with pastries, cereal, tea, coffee, juice and bagels!
The rooms were lovely fresh, clean and comfy. We wish we had stayed longer!
Nice pool area, room clean and modern, comfy bet, good location, tasty restaurant on site with good breakfast. Room rates were low as I was visiting mid-week in early Spring (weekend rates were at least double, which would have been quite pricey -and this is a relatively basic hotel.). Location is good, beautiful hilly residential area next to downtown SB (next to Cottage Hospital precisely).
I loved the location! Just 10 minutes north of downtown Santa Barbara! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. They greeted us with a bottle of wine and a room upgrade for our anniversary! I also really appreciated how dog friendly they were. Awesome accommodations! Highly recommend! We will be back! Thank you, Leta Hotel!
The Jacobsons!
Delightful hotel just 2 blocks back from Santa Barbara beach, and just a short stroll into town. Rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable and there's adequate parking (needs to be booked and paid for). Staff are extremely helpful, the welcome drinks are a nice touch as is the endless supply of coffee and fresh baked cookies in the lobby.
We had a lovely little cottage with all the amenities, good shower, comfortable beds, tea kettle, fridge, full kitchen. Very close to the downtown, but at the same time quiet and peaceful area. Lovely staff. Amazing breakfast! Highly recommend Cheshire Cat and will return on our next visit to Santa Barbara. This place is a gem!
Sunset Hotel is ok. It's good for the price in Santa Barbara, but not more. The lady at the reception was very friendly, the room was clean, but rather small. No breakfast due to covid restrictions what I don't really understand, since all the restaurants are open without any restrictions.
his hotel is in a great location - dead centre of Santa Barbara - lovely older style property in great condition and in keeping with the neighbourhood - bars, shops and restaurants all within a minute from the front door of the hotel - staff really friendly as well. Would recommend
Fantastic hotel.Family room very spacious and comfy.Great location for one night with a few places to eat.We took the bikes and cycled into santa barbara and back- this was about 5m each way and a couple of hills with no gears but was beautiful! Great value and highly recommended!
The hotel breakfast was better than others we experienced at a similar price class hotel. The kids appreciated the waffle maker and the fresh fruit. Location was convenient, near the beach...but a bit on the edge of town. everything was walkable, but a bit further than expected.
Great location, close enough to downtown Santa Barbara but not in the busy area so it was nice to have a quiet stay. Area was nice and felt safe. Hotel was clean and staff was nice. Felt it was priced a bit high but it was a holiday weekend. Would definitely stay there again.
Historic hotel in downtown Santa Barbara, good location, fantastic ambiance. I came early and dropped my luggage off and they texted me when my room was ready. The front desk staff was friendly and super competent. I really enjoyed my stay here.
Excellent location - 2 minute walk to marina and beach.
Room was large, well furnished, beautiful decor and very comfortable beds
Santa Barbara is not cheap to stay on but this little gem of a hotel was good value in comparison to others
Front desk chap on check in was really helpful sharing great hints that made our Santa Barbara stay super easy. A typical big Hotel Room that you expect in the USA which was great after being in the UK.
Beautiful hotel and bedroom
Loved the courtyard , a piece of heaven in super busy Santa Barbara
Nice pool , small but well kept
Super friendly staff especially Chandra
Fantastic location by the beach, pier and harbour. Walking distance to everything! A gorgeous small hotel perfect for families with a delicious breakfast included.
