Do try and stay Saturday and Sunday if you can, the castle and its grounds will easily take up most of the day and you cannot visit without seeing the rest of Warwick town. All accessible walking so you can park up the car and relax in a beautiful town with so much to offer

Nice place.
Nice place. Unfortunately I was there for just a night and a day spent in the Castle. We ate at the only place open at 7 pm, a pub in the main square, quite expensive, I took a beef meat dish, quite good but with too many potatoes and poor in vegetables, as per description. My friend took a sea bass dish and she liked it. The town seems quite modern, I expected an old little town..
Next day the Castle. This is quite interesting even if with too many reconstructions and restorations. The external location is beautiful and has interesting points to be seen, as the towers. They made many types of attractions in order to engage visitors. The interiors show many rooms of recent periods, enriched by wax figures in period clothing.
All quite expensive in my opinion. I think a family spends too much if you include everything, from accommodation to entrance and parking tickets, also because they also charge children aged 2 and over.
In any case I enjoyed my little trip.. Except the weather! But I'm Italian and so I.m a little spoiled on many subjects.. :)

Did Warwick castle the day we arrived ( as gaining entry to accomodation wasn't 'til 15:00 ). Excellent VFM. Paid extra for the Dungeons.
Bit of a walk from the car park ( altho' courtesy bus available ) .
Easily spend the full day exploring/watching free shows .
Would try to avoid peak times- w/e's- and school hols if you are not taking children.
Good base. We spent a day exploring Stratford ( if you do that make sure you visit the Butterfly Farm-it's epic!! ).
Warwick centre is good for pubs/ restaurants etc- lots of choice but a lot close during the week so choice then is very limited.

I enjoyed my visit to the castle, though hadn't realised it was half term, so was somewhat busier than I expected. Many steps to climb, but the views are worth it. There's a working trebuchet, which was demonstrated, and an excellent flight display of birds of prey. St Mary's church is worth a visit too, as has a stunning chapel dedicated to the Beauchamp family. I'd recommend the Thomas Oaken tea rooms near the castle Town Gate and Aqua Food & Mood Lebanese restaurant.

Warwick is a small charming town easy to move around.
Warwick is a small charming town easy to move around. Very pretty historical and clean streets with enough shops if someone is into it.
The Warwick Castle is the main attraction but there’s is more to see than that.
The Old Fourpenny Hotel is an unassuming little pub on arrival, but is a bit of a Tardis when you enter. We were located in a room in the courtyard which was excellent! The food and service are also excellent. I would rate their breakfast as one of the best I have experienced. The location is also perfect for a visit to the racecourse or Warwick Castle, both of which can be reached on foot. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Excellent hotel ,great room ,very comfortable bed and pillows , spotless room ,safe car parking ,excellent bar meals and fantastic breakfast . Great location for NEC Birmingham ,British Motor Museum Gaydon ,Warwick and the surrounding area .Have been before and it just gets better each time - even ideal for dogs as previously we brought ours .Will definetely be back as next years Classic Car Events are already being arranged.
One of the biggest hotel rooms we have ever stayed in. Very comfortable bed and although next to main road the noise did not keep us awake at night. It was nice to have a fridge in the room although very noisy but we just turned it off at night. Continental breakfast was a bonus as well as onsite parking.
Hotel was a very short walk to main shops, restaurants and Warwick Caste.
The continental breakfast had a good selection and was very fresh. Staff were at all times very attentive and professional. Location was excellent for both railway station (5 mins) and Warwick Castle (8-10mins). Our room was spacious and very comfortable, the ground floor double glazing ensured we slept very well on both nights of our stay.
We were made very welcome and the breakfast was a good one. The room was comfortable, quiet, and there was good parking. We were also allowed to leave our car in the car park whilst we visited Warwick Castle, which saved money on parking. Were I to visit Warwick again I would be more than happy to stay in the Cambridge Villa.
Good location for exploring parts of Warwickshire and visiting friends. Evening meals excellent quality. Staff particularly helpful when found that hair straighteners had been left at the property by mistake. Ample car parking. Room very accessible. Comfortable lounge area was an added extra when meeting friends.
The nice welcome at the recrption, the staff, the beautiful breakfast, the very fruendly receptionists, the room, the lovrly housekeeping lady and the very nice breakfast staff, the very good location of the hotel in the centre of Warwick.
A beautiful spacious apartment with allocated parking space. The host was very friendly and always helpful. I would definitely stay there again and i highly recommended this beautiful apartment to anyone visiting Warwickshire.
The staff were exceptional - friendly, helpful and always there for you. The location of the hotel, close to the racecourse was superb. Warwick is a great place. Food and drink was excellent and good value.
Hotel was easy to find straight off the M40. Handy having a McDonald's opposite and not far from Warwick Castle which is where we were visiting. Hotel was fine, as expected, no frills pay for what you get.
Super location, easy walk into Warwick. Delicious evening meal in the pub- really great Tapas.
Breakfast was good. Nice enough room with a small en-suite (though not much water pressure in the shower)
Nice clean uncluttered room, great location 25 minutes walk from the centre of Warwick, and carparking space too. The host was very helpful, answering any questions we had pre-booking very promptly.
Lovely Hotel set in the beautiful Warwick, friendly professional staff , clean /spacious room , Lovely breakfast. All in all a pleasure to stay there at very good pricing. Highly recommended.
This hotel is everything you want from a hotel away from everything. The grounds are gorgeous and the hotel is fully of history. Our room was welcoming, modern and hidden away from it all.
the location was amazing and surprisingly quiet. and nice easy access to Warwick castle and the shops and restaurants. the foyer was nice bright welcoming and clean and tidy
Location was perfect for Warwick area. Hotel had a very relaxed feel in beautiful surroundings. Hotel staff very helpful and attentive. Restaurant food was excellent.
The hotel is a small gem. Friendly staff and Amazing Breakfast. Our double room was large. The hair Dryer did not work but the staff went out and purchased one for me.
