Great mix of old and new! The workmanship done to refurbish and rebuild this old castle into a mix of old and modern is beyond perfect .Our room was big, comfy, clean, full of amenities, and thoughtfully and artfully finished. The workers were all pleasant and helpful. Food was delicious and very plentiful and a bargain that was included in our room price. . We received delicious cheese filled warm Pita and dessert in the afternoon, a sit down dinner with freshly made soup, salad with fresh herbs, stew and dessert. Breakfast had a fresh delicious buffet and then we were served delicious cooked eggs and fresh pita with cheese This is a unique hotel for someone who loves the countryside and wants to stay in a castle. The atmosphere, architecture, upper lookout patios, garden trails, water hole and museum tour were extra bonuses . The newly planted gardens was wonderful and will be a delight to see when in bloom and in years to come.

the reception was extremely helpful and pleasant, especially Rasit and Feyzo, also the manager, were super warm and hospitable and gave lots of useful tips!!! Location was also great, right next to public transportation and sites and restaurants.

The location couldn't be better, steps from all the Old Town attractions, and with excellent access to public transport, not to mention the nice view from the rooftop terrace. The service was excellent, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. There was a walkout on the day we left, causing some disturbance to the public transport (and congestion). The staff quickly suggested several options and arranged a very reasonable priced taxi for us. This was a huge help and we truly appreciated the efforts.

This is a place where you are immediately made to feel that you're visiting old friends. The quality and finishes throughout the property are of impeccable taste and quality. The breakfast is excellent. We greatly enjoyed the conversations we had in passing with the owners and manager. They suggested things to see and do in the region that we would have otherwise missed.

The people that work here treat you like visiting family. They made our trip really special! Even though Ahmad teased me relentlessly 😅, he made sure we had everything we needed, even offering to get up early to make us breakfast before our flight. He showed me his pigeons when he found out I love birds. They helped us every step of the way and I wouldn't stay anywhere else, I will be back. We arrived at 2.45 am and the night manager was kind enough to make some tea and wait till we settled down. In the morning, we met Ali who waited for my wife to wrap the breakfast as we were a bit slow from the travel. Osman, the hero was great at casually greeting every guest and making them feel at home. My wife who is averse to pets also took to his kindness and petted him. The best highlight is how an owner makes things really lively for you. Ahmet is the reason I would recommend this place to friends travelling. Right from accommodating our extension to giving us his honest recommendations about the city and culture, he never let us feel out of place. The room view was splendid and it's near most of the top things you would want to see in Istanbul. Lucky to have bumped into this listing and enhanced our Istanbul and Turkish experience.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel and truly appreciated the exceptional staff. While it was a smaller operation, the hotel was very clean and had everything we needed. It was in a quiet and less touristy location with just 10 mins to town. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't on our side when we arrived, and we were snowed in. However, the staff made all the difference. Furkhan, Sanjer, Mr. Ali, and Ruhan (apologies if the spelling is off) kept us entertained with chess matches and great conversations, making our time there so enjoyable. Mr. Ali prepared our breakfasts with care, offering a wonderful variety of options and always ensuring we were satisfied. We'll be back! Highly recommend this place to anyone.

Beautiful location under the mountain, fantastic food and hospitable staff.

The best hotel that I have ever stayed in. Great location, great breakfast, great workers especially Doğan was very helpful to us. It was a very pleasant experience and I highly recommend it.
