Gorgeous city with plenty of sites and activities to do if you stay for leisure or business. We had a great time on a short-trip. Our favourite place in Brussels was the mini-Europe village. We also went up the atominium expo building, which was quite fun. Some lovely places to eat near the hotel and be sure to try the moules and frites. Be prepared to pay for visits to the toilet. City maps cost €1 at the tourist office. A first for us. Very little English translations of the French & Flemish announcements on the trains and train stations. We could not find a ticket office with a human presence at Central Station. Brussels has a lot to offer. Amazing buildings, with loads of character, even the modern buildings were impressive. I loved the beer !!!! Such a selection. Spoiled for choice and you didn't have to go very far, bars and restaurants everywhere. Lots of things and places to see. The best thing in the center was definitely the Grand Place at night - the lighting was amazing. We also visited inside the Atomium - I didn't even know they had a light show inside, and I loved it. We used the STIB/MIVB App for the public transport and were satisfied, tried the local waffles and fries with cheddar sauce (delicious). The city was absolutely lovely hence the overwhelming of litters every were. I think as a lovely city peoples of Brussels need to be aware The People were very welcoming and helpful. The best chocolate we have ever test is Belgian chocolate and also the lovely testy waffle. the food is good quality wherever you go there are many choice of restaurants.
