River Arts Club, hotel in Maidenhead

River Arts Club is located in Maidenhead, within a 10-minute walk of Maidenhead Magistrates Court and 0.6 mi of Maidenhead Library. This bed and breakfast offers a garden.

The owner and staff are incredibly wonderful individuals and their work as a team is great to see. The location by the Thames, away from streets, and about a mile from the train station is close to ideal. Many very good restaurants are within a half a mile. The healthy breakfast provided is most appreciated. Breakfast on the terrace is lovely. Staying at the River Arts Club is like sharing a quiet manor house with nice strangers that we barely see. Train options to Paddington or Tottenham Court Road take less that 60 minutes.

We have traveled a lot of the years and YOY was friendly and organised. The only thing worth mentioning is the stairs are steep and it maybe a problem if someone have heavy cases or a knee disability. Overall, everything else was good. Plenty of everything and the owners try hard to make your stay a happy one.

We only stayed one night but about half a mile away from the hotel we found a restaurant which overlooks the Thames and had a wonderful meal which made up a little for the disappointment with the hotel we booked

Boulters Mill and Ray Mill Island were fabulous to walk around, had a nice coffee in a lovely spot at the Piazza just a little further on from the Boathouse which we sat at but didn't order at as they were coming into lunch service and we just wanted coffee. Ate on a very warm summer's evening at Roux at Skindles Mill which was on our doorstep having stayed at the Thames Riveria Hotel. We sat on the terrace and ate a most delightful meal, finished up at the Hall & Woodhouse Boatyard at which we sat outside all evening as very warm. All in all a superb day with lots of lovely things to do and places to go. Evening before we had gone to the Bear near Maidenhead town and that was very pleasant and reasonable as you would expect from Wetherspoons.

Good stay but I belive it should be made clear that there are two buildings and you may not actually stay in the hotel building but the adjacent building and our room did not have a safe or dressing gown and slippers as other rooms do.

The accommodation is within walking distance of the river and there is an excellent Thai restaurant in the next street and I can highly recommend the food. My trip was for work purposes, so I didn't have time for sightseeing.

The river and walks around are lovely.

The river and walks around are lovely. Boulter's Lock is very close - a noted beauty spot, as is Cliveden with its extensive NT gardens, river walk and echoes of scandal. Maidenhead itself, on the other hand, is badly run-down, as are so many town centres these days. The shopping mall would have been modest in its heyday, but with many empty units, betting and charity shops on its high Street, it resembles the epitome of broken Britain. The shopping centre car park is now closed, permanently by the look of it, and the nearest multistorey is a nightmare to access with evidence of many cars leaving paintwork on the narrow entry/exit bollards. An area that obviously has many exceptionally expensive private houses and quite extensive recently built apartments, reveals an unexpectedly disappointing town centre.

Room had a great view of the Thames. The staff were lovely and very helpful. I do a lot of business travel. The breakfast was probably the best cooked breakfast from a hotel I've ever had. Sausages were very good both myself and my wife noted they were not cheap and horrible but good quality. Eggs were cooked on request ;-) Parking is ample and with good security. Cannot fault the hotel at all!

Thank you so much for such a great and warm welcome as always ! I love staying at your hotel and wouldn't swap it for any other in this area. Staff are fantastic, very friendly and give you the family feel. Trish and Stefan are always being ever so kind at the reception. Tony and Lidia always make and serve the most delicious breakfasts ! Highly recommend this place.

Carla is amazing, she answered all my messages quickly and made sure we had a comfortable stay. She also gave us extra blankets when mentioned that we were cold. The room for 3 was quite spacious, comfortable beds, fridge in the room, plenty of toiletries and the breakfast was also great. Great place for a short stay in Maidenhead!

Breakfast was a bit disappointing, I asked for porridge, and you don't do it. Not a lot of staff on, I know it was Christmas. On the whole the Breakfast wasn't as bad as some hotels I've been to. When I'm in Maidenhead again I'll definitely book up.

The location: on the banks of the Thames River, with ten+ swans nearby, in a historic hotel (though it is no longer possible to arrive at the hotel by river boat).. The restaurant is comfortable and provides a delicious breakfast (cost extra).

Self contained rooms behind a Maidenhead pub. Small, but the room's have all you need. The walk to Maidenhead rail station, where you can catch a very convenient Elizabeth Line train to central London, is 15-20 mins.
