I liked the room, but my mattress needs changing, All the reception staff, three guys and the lady were exceptional. The guy at the restaurant (manager, cooks, bartends, and an amazing host, perhaps from the Islands), Despite the River Thames, the environment was superb. The older fellow and perhaps, the housekeeping supervisor was very helpful as well.

We have traveled a lot of the years and YOY was friendly and organised.
The only thing worth mentioning is the stairs are steep and it maybe a problem if someone have heavy cases or a knee disability. Overall, everything else was good. Plenty of everything and the owners try hard to make your stay a happy one.

We only stayed one night but about half a mile away from the hotel we found a restaurant which overlooks the Thames and had a wonderful meal which made up a little for the disappointment with the hotel we booked

Boulters Mill and Ray Mill Island were fabulous to walk around, had a nice coffee in a lovely spot at the Piazza just a little further on from the Boathouse which we sat at but didn't order at as they were coming into lunch service and we just wanted coffee. Ate on a very warm summer's evening at Roux at Skindles Mill which was on our doorstep having stayed at the Thames Riveria Hotel. We sat on the terrace and ate a most delightful meal, finished up at the Hall & Woodhouse Boatyard at which we sat outside all evening as very warm. All in all a superb day with lots of lovely things to do and places to go. Evening before we had gone to the Bear near Maidenhead town and that was very pleasant and reasonable as you would expect from Wetherspoons.

Good stay but I belive it should be made clear that there are two buildings and you may not actually stay in the hotel building but the adjacent building and our room did not have a safe or dressing gown and slippers as other rooms do.

The accommodation is within walking distance of the river and there is an excellent Thai restaurant in the next street and I can highly recommend the food. My trip was for work purposes, so I didn't have time for sightseeing.

The river and walks around are lovely.
The river and walks around are lovely. Boulter's Lock is very close - a noted beauty spot, as is Cliveden with its extensive NT gardens, river walk and echoes of scandal.
Maidenhead itself, on the other hand, is badly run-down, as are so many town centres these days. The shopping mall would have been modest in its heyday, but with many empty units, betting and charity shops on its high Street, it resembles the epitome of broken Britain. The shopping centre car park is now closed, permanently by the look of it, and the nearest multistorey is a nightmare to access with evidence of many cars leaving paintwork on the narrow entry/exit bollards.
An area that obviously has many exceptionally expensive private houses and quite extensive recently built apartments, reveals an unexpectedly disappointing town centre.
The hotel is situated on the banks of the Thames. The restaurant and a small outside area are by the river. However the building is by the bridge taking the main A4 across the river so it was very noisy and smelly. It is an old building with no lift. (We were warned about this.)
The restaurant was on the lowest level by the river, which was pleasant.
Wonderful overnight stay with our adult children as part of a significant birthday celebration and over the moon to be upgraded to a fabulous suite!
Beautiful hotel and the bedroom and garden by the river a joy - even on a grey day.
A real treat and so well looked after by Alessandra. Thank you.
Good size room. Big bathroom. Good shower. The fact that it is a pub with a big outdoors section is nice when it is warm and it means that you can get both breakfast and a pint on your doorstep which is nice. . Walking distance to the train station and the town centre. Small off licence next door.
Absolutely lovely hotel we used just for stopping from work
Rooms are spotless and extras you get compared to other hotels was brilliant
Bonus if your a smoker open your door to the balcony and lovely view
Food was exceptional
And all for a great price

Staff were extremely polite, attentive and friendly.
Rooms were very clean, apart from stained carpet.
The food was excellent, both in the evening and breakfast.
The location was lovely, right opposite the river and close to the town centre.
Breakfast was excellent. location was good for event we attended in Golf Club next door. Grounds look lovely public areas look well maintained and clean. Reception staff were brilliant and hotel should be proud of them.
This is a lovely hotel in a stunning location. The bar and restaurant are excellent, with the food and other facilities a good standard. We found it very good value for money and would definitely return.
We were first allocated a 3 rd floor room , with no lifts in the hotel, we are 70 yrs old , requested a lower floor, and they very kindly have us a ground floor room, it was excellent, thank you.
Staff kindness.
Excellent food/restaurant meals and menu
Excellent option for breakfast and dinner included
Good sauna and Jacuzzi facilities
Peaceful hotel and surrounding/garden
Very good location, in the heart of the Town centre..
Lots of restaurants and shops eg Sainsburys, Waitrose, Pizza Hut & Express, KFC, Pubs & Diner etc walking distance away..
An amazing stay at the hotel. We cancelled the Thames Hotel because of the poor state but found this hotel very clean and welcoming. Will definitely stay again in the future
Everything was as I expect a good hotel to be. And my only fault was I couldn't sample the food in the restaurant below! Very pleasant stay. Would very happily stay again.
