The owner and staff are incredibly wonderful individuals and their work as a team is great to see. The location by the Thames, away from streets, and about a mile from the train station is close to ideal. Many very good restaurants are within a half a mile. The healthy breakfast provided is most appreciated. Breakfast on the terrace is lovely. Staying at the River Arts Club is like sharing a quiet manor house with nice strangers that we barely see. Train options to Paddington or Tottenham Court Road take less that 60 minutes.

We were looking for a place within easy reach of Heathrow and our rental car return. Our room was small but met our needs. It was very clean with fresh linens and en suite bathroom. Fresh fruit was available with continental breakfast. Located within walking distance of several restaurants.

Excellent food, and friendly and helpful staff. I was pleasantly suprised at how quiet the location was, given its proximity to a main road - mind you, I live ON a main road, so I suspect my expectations may be different from most people.

The restaurant and staff were excellent, the room needed a window to the outside, not to another corridor.

Taplow is a lovely place, if you like walking there are some lovely walks along the footpath along tha river, whether you turn left or right out of the hotel, nice restaurants walking distance.
Some lovely boat trips/excursions by river to places like Windsor and not expensive, info can be found at reception.

We have traveled a lot of the years and YOY was friendly and organised.
The only thing worth mentioning is the stairs are steep and it maybe a problem if someone have heavy cases or a knee disability. Overall, everything else was good. Plenty of everything and the owners try hard to make your stay a happy one.

We only stayed one night but about half a mile away from the hotel we found a restaurant which overlooks the Thames and had a wonderful meal which made up a little for the disappointment with the hotel we booked

Boulters Mill and Ray Mill Island were fabulous to walk around, had a nice coffee in a lovely spot at the Piazza just a little further on from the Boathouse which we sat at but didn't order at as they were coming into lunch service and we just wanted coffee. Ate on a very warm summer's evening at Roux at Skindles Mill which was on our doorstep having stayed at the Thames Riveria Hotel. We sat on the terrace and ate a most delightful meal, finished up at the Hall & Woodhouse Boatyard at which we sat outside all evening as very warm. All in all a superb day with lots of lovely things to do and places to go. Evening before we had gone to the Bear near Maidenhead town and that was very pleasant and reasonable as you would expect from Wetherspoons.

Good stay but I belive it should be made clear that there are two buildings and you may not actually stay in the hotel building but the adjacent building and our room did not have a safe or dressing gown and slippers as other rooms do.

The accommodation is within walking distance of the river and there is an excellent Thai restaurant in the next street and I can highly recommend the food. My trip was for work purposes, so I didn't have time for sightseeing.
Perfect staycation in a beautiful property by the riverside. We received a warm welcome and really enjoyed the artistic atmosphere, especially at the living room. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was absolutely massive. The breakfast was decent. The property is less that 15 mins walk from Maidenhead center, although we preferred the riverside walk towards Taplow and also to Bray where you can sample some of the finest culinary delights of the country.
Excellent breakfast. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The host Laurent was very engaging has a clear passion for hospitality and food. Lots of interesting stories exchanged over breakfast. Would thoroughly recommend whatever the occasion. Town centre and Train station about a 20 minute walk but Maidenhead is very well connected if travelling to London, Windsor or Reading. Secure parking at the rear of the property.
For me on my own, the room was almost perfect!
I was on a dinner, bed and breakfast rate. I expected to have only a limited choice for dinner but in fact, I had the full choice of all 3 courses on the al a carte menu. Breakfast was excellent.
The location of the hotel was nicely placed by the river and just 10 minutes away from my eventual destination of White Waltham airfield.
Location. Near the river, Brad restaurants.
Very convenient to get to Maidenhead train station. Fast train into Paddington took about 20-25 minutes.
Flat well set up, and while we didn’t use the kitchen appliances looked good and utensils well stock.
Instructions from Joe easy to understand and provision of photos was helpful.
Beds comfortable. Plenty of space.
The room was very clean and comfy. I am allergic and usually struggle when I stay at hotels, but this place was very clean and tidy and I didn’t experience any allergic reactions.
The property is well located and the town centre is within a short walk.
The host made the whole experience even better with great conversations. I felt at home
The whole team at Taplow house were exceptional and attentive lead by Jason the hotel manager. They made our stay extremely welcoming and at home. They went to extraordinary lengths to ensure my wife’s 50th birthday surprise break was one to remember. Thank you all and see you again soon Nick & Marie
I come here regularly now as our head office is located in Maidenhead where the selection of hotels is poor. I am so happy to have found this gem of a place, the accommodation is fantastic, the staff can't do enough to help and the food is wonderful. Thanks to the team and see you soon!
Breakfast was a bit disappointing, I asked for porridge, and you don't do it.
Not a lot of staff on, I know it was Christmas. On the whole the Breakfast wasn't as bad as some hotels I've been to.
When I'm in Maidenhead again I'll definitely book up.
beautiful hotel set on the side of the river Thames. rooms were small but very comfortable and had everything you needed. the breakfast was lovely, nice bar and outside seating to watch the boats and swans, perfect choice for us
All the staff were very helpful, couldn’t do enough for you very friendly.
Loved the hotel the surrounding area, so relaxing.
When we enquired about the age of the hotel we were even given a booklet for us to read
The location is good for access to Maidenhead, Legoland, Cookham. The room was very clean and Carla was really friendly and helpful. The room was basic but light and airy, nice decor and the bed was comfy.
Great location overlooking the river Thames and convenient for visiting Maidenhead. The hotel is a bit tired but it offers great value for money and we would definitely stay here again.
Breakfast was excellent. Room a little dated and 'compact' Great location right by the river. Friendly helpful staff. Ample free parking. Not a lot to complain about for the price.
The Hotel is a little run down but adequate for a one night stay and close to Heathrow. The host was friendly and very helpful. Parking on the property was a bonus.
We had booked this hotel as it was reasonably priced and was near the end of our walk from Windsor to Maidenhead via Thames Path. It proved to be a good choice.
Beautiful interiors and location on River Thames. I was travelling for business and much prefer to stay in boutique locations, rather than impesonal hotels.
