An old, historic town which has managed to update itself...
An old, historic town which has managed to update itself without losing the charm of it's really quite special old stone buildings, with a number of attractive side streets leading to the loch edge. Plenty coffee shops, gift shops etc, and of course the Palace where Mary Queen of Scots was born. Ready access to the canal, railway and motorway to Stirling and Edinburgh, apart from the many other towns in the area. Too many potential attractions to list here.Guest review byRobert - 10.0

You must visit the Linlithgow Palace!
You must visit the Linlithgow Palace! The streets in Linlithgow are walkable, so that's nice. Be aware whenever you are anywhere in Scotland on a Monday, restaurants and shops may be closed (I ran into this all over each Monday). Otherwise, Linlithgow is a quaint town with rich history. Enjoyed exploring this historic town.
Enjoyed exploring this historic town. Visited the Palace and the museum and the canal basin during our short stay. Next time we would like to walk round the lake and explore the area more. There seemed to be lots of nice looking cafes, restaurants and pubs too.Guest review byJulieUnited States
