The hosts were wonderful people, the property was very tastefully down with every room portraying its own unique story. The check-in process was seamless and the location was bang in the middle of the city. Strongly recommend spending some time at their Paris library which will make you travel back time!

We love Weymouth our travel time is about 90min away but we love to stay there when we can as there is so much to do. The beach is always clean and the dogs are allowed on a specific partof the beach in the summer. Good places to eat and fabulous old pubs to find out of town. The boot is a special little gem. The nightlife is good as there is always live music in the pubs. The harbour is a magical place to sit with a coffee or a beer and watch the bridge going up to let the boats go under. Also good shopping centre, a little run down in places but on the whole plenty of good cafes.

I have visited Weymouth ever since i was a child so it holds a special place in my heart. Its really dissapointing to see how many shops etc that are now closed though making the town centre look pretty poor.
We visited the Preston side of Weymouth as well though and this has got a lot better over the years. The arcades are fantastic, the scenery is superb and the prices at the cafes etc arent too steep either.

Very disappointed with present day Weymouth.
Very disappointed with present day Weymouth. Have visited Weymouth regularly over a period of 70 years, except for the beach, the town centre is very run down. Many shops, bars, restaurants and other facilities shut down. The streets were filthy and strewn with rubbish. In desperate need of a makeover and some loving care.
Will not return in near future.

Your typical seaside resort at the beachfront- loads to to, amusements, land train, donkey rode, good restaurants! Beach is flat, shallow and shady- perfect for kiddies!!
Harbour area is more cosmopolitan and beautiful, upper market cafes and pubs… really stunning views.
The town itself is a bit rough, with closed down shops etc. But all the shops you’d need! A lot of tourtisty shops to keep you browsing happily!

We enjoyed a walk around Weymouth and the surrounding areas.
We enjoyed a walk around Weymouth and the surrounding areas.
We did the "White Horse" walk from Sutton Poyntz, just outside Weymouth and went on to see the stunning coastline at Durdle Door.
The Isle of Portland was also worth a visit. It was March and too blustery and wet to do a decent walk but the vies at Portland Bill and of Chessil Beach was well worth a visit.
30 minutes from Weymouth, we visited West Bay with another nice coastline and a very interesting Custom House in the village which had a wealth of memorabilia for sale.
Had an amazing stay at southville, the host was lovely. Couldn’t wish for a nicer owner, we actually missed breakfast one morning due to our fault and she cooked us breakfast 20 minutes after closing the kitchen.
Walking distance into the centre of weymouth, not worth driving. Brilliant parking around the back. Really lovely and this will be our first stop when we return to weymouth.

he hotel is located on the main road into Weymouth. There is a free car park at the front and one to the rear if needed, with access to the hotel from both ends. The room was large and comfortable with free wifi. The food was good both in the evening and breakfast, the later of which is served from 07.00am. The breakfast is buffet style, but unlike many I stay at has fried eggs as well as scrambled
can’t say enough good things. Nick and Caroline were so lovely and so accommodating and kind. was my first solo trip in years and they made it feel like I was staying with family. the property is charming and comfortable and a great location for Weymouth. Nick gave me some great tips for local attractions and was a great help with parking too. Don’t hesitate!!!
The people we met, who owned the business, were very welcoming and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. The breakfasts were excellent. The room was small but had everything we needed. The hotels position on the front made seeing the best of Weymouth very easy and it is only 10 minutes, at most from the train station.
Hosts were very friendly and considerate, and they made you feel very welcome.
Breakfast was lovely and our room was very clean and a fresh appearance.
Comfortable bed with a great sea view.
Definitely would stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in Weymouth.
We wish the new hosts the best of luck.
The location of the Riviera is second to none...but most of the reviews were bad...so we booked it to see what it was like..and it wasn't that bad..
The hotel needs a lot of work doing to it... but the room were clean and tidy but there was a slight odour...the breakfast was ok.
We would book this hotel again..
Great location for Weymouth and other Dorset attractions . Car parking a real bonus .
Rooms very clean, modern and beautifully decorated . Very well equipped with high end amenities too .
Hosts very friendly and cooked a fab breakfast (even gluten free options for myself !!)
Thank you Simon and Rosie .
Fantastic location for visiting Weymouth. We came on the bank holiday weekend of the Kings Coronation and it did not disappoint. We had a balcony and views of the fireworks out at sea. Live music on the beach. The central location made it a very special stay.
The location was amazing! Derrick was a wonderful host. And his granddaughter welcomed us with the most amazing and beautiful cupcakes on arrival. Derrick gave all the best recommendations on what to see, where to eat, and history of the hotel itself.
Location was very good and the Breakfast staff was very attentive and friendly other than that we thought it was overpriced for what it was. Everything in this hotel is dated and perhaps the standards was more akin to a Motel than a Hotel.
The owners were wonderful, and the hotel was beautiful. Everything was clean and perfect, and the breakfast was wonderful.
Rooms were spacious, and the location was ideal for everything in Weymouth.
100% recommend a stay here
Fabulous hotel, furnished to an exceptional standard, in the best location right by the clock tower on Weymouth seafront. Breakfast was delicious, amazing poached eggs, and nothing too much trouble for Jonathan and Karen.
Perfect location to explore Weymouth and the surrounding area. Hosts sent instruction to get keys, and also provided useful information on parking, and their facilties (WiFi, TV channels).
Staff really friendly. Really comfy bed and room good value for the location. I've stayed in a few hotels in Weymouth now and this is the best one by far. Lovely old building
