Very beautiful. It was unique to see modern buildings downtown and the historically buildings not too far away. I was so impressed with Big Ben, the cathedrals, Tower Bridge, Westminister and everything else. I wished I had more days to explore other things.

Ah, London, you're a lady
Laid out before my eyes
Ah, London, you're a lady
Laid out before my eyes
Your golden heart as pulsing
Between your scarred up thighs
Your eyes are full of sadness
Red buses skirt your hem
Your head-dress is a ring of lights
But I would not follow them
Your architects were madmen
And your builders sane but drunk
But a mystery of fading jewels
Shine acid house and punk
You are a scarlet lady
Your streets run red with blood
Oh, my darling they have used you
And covered you with mud
It was deep down in your womb my love
I drank my quart of sin
While Chinamen played cards and draughts
And knocked back Mickey Finns
Your piss is like a river
Its scent is beer and gin
Your hell is in the summer
And you blossom in the spring
September is your purgatory
Christmas is your heaven
And when the stinking streets of summer
Are washed away by rain
At the dark end of a lonely street
That's where you lose your pain
'Tis then your eyes light up my love
And sparkle once again

Theres almost too much to do.Something for everyone but I recommend planning well and checking for ticket bargains.
Pret is a nice cheap place for a baguette lunch.Or The Sun Cafe in Lisson Grove for that full english breakfast or omlette or baked potato to keep you going.
Dont forget London is also very central for visiting places around the edges of it like Kew Gardens. And Canterbury is very near by train 40 minutes or £10 one way by bus..but takes around an hour and a half.
From Victoria you can also go down and experience Brighton beach for the day to chill out.
So much free stuff to do in London and when I was there I was so impressed with being able to see a theatre production for just £10.Always a good idea to ask the clerk about cheap ticket availability.
I recently discovered so many little gems..you should search out your own, there are so many.

Very good city to visit but you need to plan you days, make sure you get tickets in advance to save time and money and remember food and drinks are expensive. Use the underground to save on taxis and if you like a vast choice of food try the markets

There are plenty of things to see in London.
There are plenty of things to see in London. So, it's important to prioritize.
We took a walking tour of the city.
The Underground and Bus services offered by Transport for London are excellent. With the Oyster pre-paid card, you can easily travel around the city.
There are public transport access points near all important landmarks.
Last minute booking as had missed my last train home, normally I stay away from Kings Cross as an area as so many hotels are of very poor quality, however couldn't be bothered heading back into central London so took a chance on this. The price was so cheap it almost put me off! But what a pleasant surprise, my room was a good size, it was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable and the wifi was perfect. Absolutely nothing to dislike about this place and would happily stay again. For the price you will not find anything better in London.
I stay in London for work nearly every week and have been trying out many many different hotels and apartments, but this was by far the best. Really easy to get to, really friendly staff, gorgeous decor and the studio itself was very cool. Fab decor, everything I needed to cook for myself and eat at a proper table! It was also spotless and I could not hear any noise from the other rooms. Oh and the bed was SO comfortable. Nevermind one night...I could happily live there (and the bar was a real bonus).
My 4th time staying at St Athans and the experience has been overwhelmingly positive each time. Staff are friendly, Zeeshan in particular was very warm and helpful with the check in experience. Location is perfect and the hotel is always clean and up to a good standard. In terms of value for money it is everything I need.
I travel for work and even though my company have now moved office across London, I will continue to stay at St Athans because of the great service and fantastic value for money.
Perfect location for travelling all around london - Russel Sq. Station has Piccadilly line which connects to Heathrow. Otherwise there's King's Cross and St. Pancras train stations. Walking distance to Holborn, Oxford Street, British Museum.
Big rooms with windows, better than the majority of London hotels. Some of the rooms are as big as 25 sq m. That is very rare for London at this price.
The bathroom was fully renovated with a modern clean design. The bed was comfortable-ish, on the hard side.
Unfortunately I would not recommend the hotel, it was very dirty in my room mould in the shower room and hair there was no tv remote and my room was right next to reception office and was very loud lots of banging doors and staff looked miserable .
I’m not one to complain but I was on a trip to London and just wanted somewhere early to get to and stay at but unfortunately I will not be coming back , also took photos of room for proof . The only good part was the bed was comfy .
I am hospitality tourism lecturer/ reviewer, and my comments are based on years experience in the industry. The hotel has many Pros and Cons which I summarise as follow:
Pros:
-Very professional friendly staff, specially receptionist and front office staff, which are very helpful and professional
-Very good location, in the middle of city centre and easy access to every where in London
-Good break fast
-Fantastic dreamy view
-very fast and easy check in- check out
The best location! Near 3 train stations including tube. Easy access to Soho and shopping areas. Eventhough there are some homeless at church but didn't make feel unsafe at all! The Staffs are truly nice which is rare in London. They are helpful and friendly. Feeling so welcome. Been to many hotels in London and this one is the best so far. Good wifi. Elevator. Bus stop in front of hotel. You could ask staffs to store produces in fridge.
1. The place was perfect for our family. We like to stay in places where there is a lounging/living room area and a kitchen; hence the preference for apartments over hotels. Loved the layout - two floors, entrance per floor, luggage storage under the stairs).
2. Ease of check in and check out.
3. Clean and comfortable.
4. Very responsive support even if not onsite.
5. Location was great.
The room was the cleanest I've ever been in. The daily cleaning crew are top notch. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels including 4 and 5 stars and this was the cleanest.
The location, absolutely perfect for central London and Heathrow.
The manager and staff were very hospitable and helpful.
Everything I needed for a lovely stay.
Clean, modern in both the public areas and rooms. Considering this is at a Travelodge and Premier Inn budget hotel price-point, this totally blows both of them away for style and delivery.
Room was tiny (it is central London) but it was well designed with lots of storage, comfortable bed and small shower but plentiful hot water.
I don’t know why the ratings are so low. The hotel is the nicest hotel for the price range in the area. I searched for many hotels for hours and stayed in many hotels in London this one’s by far the best one. It’s clean. The room doesn’t feel like a shoe box. Giant windows for fresh air. I’d stay again.
Great location, next to Canning Town tube / bus station.
Local Morrisons for any cheaper snacks etc.
Great atmosphere in hotel, all staff were friendly and helpful.
Also, they did decent food (at reasonable, for London, prices) we got a pizza at 9pm after a very long day out.
The staff were friendly and professional. The location is perfect for staying in the capital. The rooms are lovely and well equipped. There is a great bar to sit and relax in when you are back at the hotel. This is one of our favourite hotels to stay at in London.
The bed was very comfy, and the single room (despite the usual small size for London) had a great bathroom with a waterfall shower. Decor was generally relaxing, and the location was secluded (if a tiny bit further out than many other London hotels).
Great location in the historic part of London. Rather less expensive than other 5 star hotels nearby. Great stay if you like unusual twist about the place where you are staying - the building previously has been a main police office of the city.
I like the rooms, they are a bit bigger than other hotels in London. Location is nice as it's a walking distance to Liverpool station and you get access to all the metro and trains. I like the little snacks along with tea and coffee packets
The hotel is very conveniently located by King's Cross / Euston Street / St. Pancreas tube and train station, so it was a great place to stay in London an extra day while traveling between Heathrow and Birmingham.
The location was really good and the price was super reasonable. We’ve stayed in a lot of cheap hotels in London and this was by the best. Comfy, modern and everything worked
Friendly family run hotel. Ideal for stop over in London for one night. Easy transport links from Kings Cross and to Heathrow. Rooms at rear will be quieter.
The hosts were genuinely so lovely and welcoming. Much better than service we’ve received in the past at other hotels/apartments in London!
