My experience at the Crescent Hotel was delightful. My first week there, I stayed in a superior room. Last week in Scarborough, I stayed in a more modern room. Both rooms were spacious and comfortable. I adore the beauty of the first room and the entire hotel. Breakfast was included with your stay. They had a modest breakfast bar. They serve delicious food that their chefs prepared every day until 9 p.m. The pub always offers daily specials, which begin at 12 p.m.
The dinner menu provides a wide variety of options. There is a bar on the ground floor for guests to sit and unwind. They also have a pub attached to the hotel, which is reached by passing past the receptionist and down a flight of stairs.
You should come stop by and check out what the Crescent Hotel has on the weekends. You won't be disappointed. On Thursdays, they have SwingDance. Friday, they have Open Mic Night. On Saturday, they have the Eastside Soul Club. The music is always popping off in there.
They are not far from the seafront or local attractions. You can either walk or take the bus.
The staff makes your stay warm and welcoming.
I can't thank them enough for making my stay feel right at home.
Once again, thank you to Nadine, Denise, Leanne, Moe, Marina, Estelle, Paul, Vic, Jess, Jake, Richard, Ashley, and Thank you also to the chefs. I apologize if I forgot anyone.

Everything. I really have no words to describe the perfection of the Old Stables room (loft? Mini-apartment?) I would happily live there forever. The room was huge, beautifully decorated in a fabulous equestrian motif (the Farrier is at the original blacksmith shop), sparkling clean, and too many amenities to list. The food is delicious and plentiful. We had the full English breakfast and it set us up for the whole day! Everyone on staff were really lovely and so kind. I wish we could’ve stayed for more than one night!
We are positioned in Scarborough’s picturesque, peaceful North Side. Our independent, family-run hotel is just a short stroll from Peasholm Park, North Bay beach, and the Open Air Theater.

Great seaside resort with the usual seaside shops along the South Bay seafront.
Lovely sandy beach and fun things to do.
The North Bay is more secluded with no shops other than a couple at the bottom of some flats.
Scarborough town centre is busy and full of usual shops. There is an indoor market at one end of the town and a superb fish and chip restaurant, Wackers, next to Iceland. The sea birds on the cliff face are varied and great for bird watchers.
Peasholm Park is beautiful and has some big names perform there over the summer. While we were there, it was Jess Glyn and was sold out. Lovely Aquarium further round from North Bay.
Easy to use and regular buses to get from north to south or vice versa and to explore further afield.

Visited to attend a concert at Scarborough Open Air. Spent the day on the sea front which was lovely plenty of amusements, shops, pubs, cafes, ice cream parlours.
The shame about the weekend was the weather rained all weekend and night but did not spoil any of the weekend just typical British weather. Plenty of shops to buy ponchos!

I liked the beach, and the arcades. There is quite a few things to do,it's definitely kid orientated. It has a little fun fair,a sea life centre which is located on the north bay beach side and a miniature railway also.
Everything was just great. I have no complaints at all, infact I will be recommending the Norbeck to friends and family , the location and views from the Hotel are unbeatable. The staff where all very helpful and a pleasure to to deal with ,we had entertainment 1 night and that was quite good , and there was a famous entertainer staying there at the same time so you know it must be good , Having stayed in Scarborough many times at many different establishments ,the Norbeck is the best I have stayed at
This is the third time we have stayed at the Grand Hotel - on our first visit a few years ago you could sense the lack of investment - however Britannia Hotels have made a real impact on the overall standing of the hotel - even the wonderful frontage has been cleaned - plus, I personally feel that you would struggle to find better value for money in Scarborough - the Breakfast was great and I have not come across a more powerful shower! - the Reception and Breakfast Team were polite and efficient
The hotel is lovely and spotlessly clean, rooms are immaculate with really comfy beds, breakfast was brilliant with plenty of options, but I think the best part has to be the service and staff. Everyone is so helpful, friendly and lovely that it’s the highlight of the stay. Each person goes out of their way to help and make you feel welcome. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Scarborough but here after our visit. Faultless and we can’t wait to come back! : )
Great first impressions, friendly welcome by the host and helpful friendly staff. Lovely large, immaculately clean ensuite room with comfortable bed. Excellent quality evening meal with great choice and equally excellent breakfast. Could not fault anything about this lovely traditional Inn that has so much character including a lounge with open fire. Would much rather stay here than in a chain hotel, cannot wait to return.
Far exceeded my expectations after reading previous reviews in here. It is by far the only decent Britannia hotel we have stayed in (deffo avoid The Grand in Scarborough). The location fir Scarborough Open Air Theatre was perfect. The staff were lovely. The room was very clean, & although the double bed was tiny it was very comfy! Yes the hotel building is old & could do with maintenance but the staff are doing their best!
Been to Scarborough a few times and have to say this is the best place we have stayed. The rooms were great sizes and were clean and modern. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and nothing was too much.
Location is great, right near the tram to the beach (or the steps to walk down) and near many bars and restaurants in the town centre.
Would recommend this hotel to family and friends and will definitely return.
I cannot describe how surprised I was with the quality of this hotel, I had my doubts when booking because the room was so cheap and I fully expected to get what I was paying for but this really wasn't the case, the room, the staff, the food and just the lovely atmosphere about this hotel shocked me, it was an incredible stay and I will never use any other hotel in Scarborough than this one. An easy 10 out of 10.
Everything was perfect, so clean and comfortable. Loved the log fire and an added bonus of the Christmas tree. Everything in this cottage has been thought through. The colors are calming, the decor is lovely and I love having 2 toilets. The Scarborough arms has good food and is a 5 min walk.
Superb location for visiting the Scarborough Spa Theatre. Hotel modern whilst keeping the old features intact. Staff very helpful. Breakfast good but having visited many times over the years we believe their is not as much variety as previously (fresh fruit etc)
The hotel was a lovely place to stay for a few nights and the rooms had everything you needed. Staff members were friendly and willing to help you out in the best way possible. The location of the hotel was ideal, you had all of Scarborough on your doorstep.
We only went for the cosy room which was a decent size and well put together. The receptionists were all really friendly and helpful. We ate in the hotel restaurant in the evening which was decent. Great location as right in the heart of Scarborough.
Ashburton house is in a good walkable area for beach ,town and all attractions. Good breakfasts..plentiful and freshly made . And accommodation one of the best quirky hotels you'll find in Scarborough.
We love the location and the aesthetic and the cleanliness of this hotel. The views are great. The bar and lounge areas are fabulous. Great customer service.
