I knew the Newborough of 65 years ago. I came back to stay so I could visit the area and relatives.
I enjoyed my stay at Robins Nest the accommodation was superior, and importantly, far cleaner than the local hotels we have stayed in over the last few years we will now continue with Airbnb stays.

The room was nice and well catered.
The pub/restaurant had a very nice atmosphere and decent drinks and food options.
The staff were friendly.
The car park was more than big enough.

Very happy with my full English breakfast, nicely cooked and tasty, as much tea and toast as I wanted, with a good range of jams and marmalade. I had the biggest, and very spacious bedroom with a nice view, comfortable bed, hot radiator, TV with access to Netflix etc, good Wifi in both room and downstairs in the pub. Shared shower and toilet, was clean, with piping hot water. Free parking in the car park behind the pub. I had very friendly conversations with both the landlord and staff, and was made very welcome. I'd come back again.

The ease of parking right by the door, not having to walk several corridors, wait for lifts or upstairs to get to room. I have a health condition so was relieved that walking far was not an issue. Very clean accommodation and very relaxing being in the countryside.
Evening meal was good with attentive waiting staff.
Evening meal was good with attentive waiting staff. Room was poor with wardrobe door hanging off. Spa bath did not work and had a horrible smell once it had drained. Signage to rooms not good perhaps the lift not working all weekend did not help. Not a hotel for children.

Hoar Cross Hall: The room was disgustingly dirty.
Hoar Cross Hall: The room was disgustingly dirty. There was a build up of dust on the ceiling fan that scattered all over the bed. There was flood damage to the ceiling and wall that impacted the plug sockets below. The phone, hair dryer and whirlpool bath did not work. There were red wine stains all over the carpet. There were food splatters on the wardrobe. We had to notify reception twice to get the dust cleaned from the bed and ceiling fan. It was suspicious that they offered a fifty pound gift voucher at check in before we saw the room. They were obviously aware that there were issues with the “luxury” room we had pre booked. I’d rather they had pre warned us and given the opportunity to have a different, i.e. clean room, rather than waiting for us to show up and not giving us a choice. Every time we went to reception and there was another customer there, they were complaining about their room, e.g. the tv wasn’t working, the room was dirty, etc. Finally, we couldn’t not enjoy the beautiful external terrace because there was a wasp infestation.
The facilities, hotel, grounds and restaurants were fantastic. The rooms were all different sizes and some were definitely better than others. We had both breakfast and lunch at the hotel and the food was excellent. However the customer service experience lacked consistency and there was a marked difference between those providing good customer service those who did not.
Fantastic and helpful staff - Lauren to name one!
Comfortable room with a gorgeous garden view.
Fantastic food and drink.
Beautiful spa - and made to feel relaxed at all time. Wether in the hotel, in a robe, or the spa.
The hotel room was spotless and big in size. The bathroom was amazing and loved the elemis products they leave out for you to use along with robes and slippers
