The hotel and gardens are very attractive and well kept. The room was spacious and comfortable and I had a lovely view of the garden. The staff were helpful and friendly.

    We loved the hotel it was everything we expected.

    We loved the hotel it was everything we expected. The garden dining area was so lovey and the staff through out the hotel were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel for a night or two stay whilst in cotswalds.

    There is not much here as it's a tiny little hamlet.

    There is not much here as it's a tiny little hamlet. The Metheun Arms must do a tremendous business as I don't know what other restaurant/inn is around. Luckily for us, it (MA) was a fabulous place! The old church is a pretty thing/old cemetery too (with a gravestone that sites some 107 year old woman had "fresh teeth" (story has that she grew a 3rd set! EW!). One grocery store, a few shops ... not much but walking the footpath was lovely. Lots of peacocks, which was novel. The museum we wanted to see wasn't open when we were there.

    Good for walking - many walking routes provided by Corsham walkers are welcome website - It has a variety of good local independent shops. Good public transport connections between primarily Bath and Chippenham with other buses going elsewhere. Plenty of pubs and cafes Good local sports centre at the Springfield campus

    Our trip was to attend my Uncles Funeral at Westerleigh...

    Our trip was to attend my Uncles Funeral at Westerleigh Crematorium on the outskirts of Bristol, sadly due to work commitments are stay visiting the area was one day at the funeral and Wake and a night either side, so not long enough to sample the delights on offer seeing the area surrounding Bristol and Bath we saw very little. We know the area so hopefully we will be able to visit soon and discover more hidden delights available

    We stayed in Corsham as a base for visiting Bath (approx 12 miles outside) and so glad that we did. The location is very picturesque with beautiful countryside and the hotel was beautiful. If you don't want to stay in the middle of a city and like to experience the best of both worlds, this was an excellent option.

    Nice village with amazing green spaces, woodland and river location. Excellent for dog walking, places to stay and eat. Great walking but some steep hills to climb , some lovely traditions buildings, and friendly locals Stayed at the Quarryman’s Arms , lovely place with great food and amazing views. Busy with locals and packed full for dinner & in the bar which is always a good sign.

    It was convenient in terms of location to get to places like castle Combe, seeing corsham …due to time Though as we only stayed 1 night, we didn’t get a chance to see other areas and plus the lady Mel who was on reception, she tried her best to accommodate us when we were early, however she couldn’t make a coffee as had no clue where the oat milk was and in addition never gave the opening times for corsham court as otherwise we would have planned to go there

    Our stop in Corsham couldn't be better than this. The room at the Methuen Arms was roomy, clean and overall very nice. The staff was kind and nice with us. Both the dinner at the restaurant and the breakfast were very nice. A special mention to the complementary beer we had for ourselves when we entered the room the first time. Absolutely recommended if you are planning a stop nearby.

    I liked everything. Staff were friendly and courteous. Hotel was beautifully curated and very comfortable. Gardens were outstanding in terms of being harmonious with the natural surroundings. Food was delicious and portions were generous. A very enjoyable experience and exceptional value for money.

    Its close proxmity to the centre of town in terms of local shops (greengrocers, local butchers and a coop) Also a local bus stop near by which has good connections with a bus service 231 or X31 (Mondays to Fridays) from Bath spa bus station to Chippenham via Corsham run by faresaver
