Highly recommend! We stayed here for one night before flying home. Lovely, clean spacious rooms and restaurant. Staff is helpful, efficient and welcoming. Thanks to Cosmina for her assistance in helping us order food from an outside restaurant. She made our day!

The restaurant was excellent; compliments to the chef whose authentic award-winning Indian cuisine was amazing! The staff were all friendly and helpful.

The Wetherspoon pub was in the centre of town a 20 min walk from my accommodation which was at the middle distance between the town and the airport. People appeared friendly but as a transient resident I got ripped off by the locals. The tapas restaurant was open for customers but the cider was so sweet I could not drink it and I was told it was Spanish which I frankly doubt as I was not shown any label and the drink was pored for me without my getting to see it. I'll avoid the tapas bar the next time I need to visit the city prior to going on holiday or when I need to stay overnight on my return from holiday.

There was a great pub called 6 bells. The staff were lovely and Wayne the proprietor really looked after me as did all the staff. The food I had was excellent. The pub itself is unofficially the 2nd oldest pub in England. It was easy to walk to from The Corner House.

Very comfortable rooms, friendly efficient staff, good choice of restaurants in the evening with lovely food. Breakfast could improve as while everything is well laid out with plenty of choice the food is not being kept hot enough and is quite cold by the time you take it back to your table which is a shame as it’s good quality food. It was the same for both visits.

Travelers should be warned there there are steep steps to get to the room (unless you book the downstairs room). This was a huge surprise and problem for us as we had a lot of heavy baggage and it could not be left downstairs.

Horley is a fairly safe town to spend the night before/after a flight. It has nice food shops & cafes. Near to Gatwick but not noisy. Quiet, pleasant. A bus ride to Crawley, an easy train to London. Not overpriced.
Best place is the 8 Bells (or is it 6 Bells?!) down a residential road just off the main road & by the parish church - lovely! - its a delightful oldy-worldy country gastro pub on the doorstep, which is well-known for great food & atmosphere.
People usually find Horley pleasant... you can safely walk around & there is a Lidl & Waitrose within walking distance (in the centre)... The local Wetherspoons does a good cheap breakfast. (Later, the fish & chips/burger are ok, so ok for cheap filling food. Be warned, though, the manager could do with some improvement!)
Horley is great for overnight stays, before moving on!

Manchester was my Favorite place, i eat mostly breakfast at the hotel,
it was ok getting around Horly as my stay there was not long, my next visit is avoid going to the all season guess house in Gatwick,
Its proximity to airport was awesome, walkable right there, We came in late from international flight and had to leave early- both the late night staff and the early staff were very helpful. We had to schedule a bus transfer to another location and the staff helped to explained our options well- highly recommend this hotel if your using Gatwick airport and or connecting to Heathrow. Yummy breakfast at 6:30.National bus service is about an hour transfer between Gatwick and Heathrow
The hotel is the closest and most affordable option I found near Gatwick Airport, just a short taxi ride away. After a long, delay-filled day of travel, I was pleasantly surprised to find the room well-equipped with everything I needed for a refreshing one-night stay. Though the room was on the smaller side, common for London, it didn't skimp on essential amenities. The owner was helpful and polite, and the atmosphere was quiet.
The location couldn’t be more convenient unless staying at an airport hotel at two to three times the price. The local bus, which stops directly in front, leaves the airport several times an hour and only takes 5 minutes. The owners are always available and very accommodating. I have stayed there twice and will again when I layover at Gatwick. An easy walk to the train station and a quick trip to Victoria station.
Before our visit we had seen some poor reviews. Therefore we were really happy to see how lovely this place is. The staff are really polite and helpful. The decoration and cleanliness of the hotel is absolutely spotless. For a nearby stay to Gatwick airport with parking and shuttle I recommend Acorn lodge hotel. Hard working dedicated staff. We will visit again. Alastair and Helena Donnelly room 53
Very comfortable, heating was on maximum when I arrived on a very cold day, not like a lot of hotels where you have to turn it on yourself and wait for it to warm up.
Leass than a ten minute walk from Horley Station that is about five minutes to Gatwick so no need to get a cab for £45 at 5.30 in the morning.
A five minute walk to a wide choice of restaurants.
No hotel can beat the location of this one in Gatwick airport, directly at the departures area.
for planes ehnthusiastics (like my son) this is heaven... you can watch the planes take off and land all day and night from a big window in the room - but note that some rooms don't have a window at all.
Guests get a small discount on restaurants in the terminal
Can’t beat the location right it Gatwick Terminal 2. Clean bed, very quiet. So if you just want to sleep this fits the bill. A cool concept for a miniature hotel.
It is, however, tiny!! You wouldn’t want to spend much time here (also not good if you are not athletic enough to climb into the bunk pod, or if you get claustrophobic - it’s veeery small)
I missed my connection at Heathrow and I was redirected to Gatwick. After a long day of disruption, arriving at Gatwick and finding the hotel inside the terminal was such a relief. Check-in was 5 minutes and dinner was simple but nice.
The house was supper nice and clean very comfortable stay and the host is an amazing person with lots of hospitality and give advice! Totally happy to stay here and would recommended for people traveling near gatwick airport area!
Very convenient for North Terminal. This is better than the rest of the Gatwick hotels, possibly the best of them. Rooms are large, comfortable and fine. Prepaid, so no check-out. Public areas are spacious and clean.
All of the staff were very friendly and couteous, the accomodation was perfect for travelling to and from Gatwick airport and a shuttle bus provided by the hotel at a very good price. Everything was well presented.
Location is very good. It is at the Gatwick Airport area, no need to book a taxi or a bus, just walk from your plane to the Hotel level. Room was clean. Breakfast was good. Pastries were fresh.
The shuttle transport to/from Gatwick is quick, cheap and inexpensive. The hotel is nice though it is near busy streets, so it's noisy even at 3am. Its location near Gatwick is super, however.
I stayed for only one night as I needed a hotel near Gatwick. I had a single bedroom which provided everything I needed. I can easily recommend this place for short stays.
