We loved our stay, very comfy beds/rooms, the bar area was lovely, we sat next to the real fire and had dinner, perfect end to the day after a long walk.
Breakfast was also very nice, good selection of food and quick friendly service.

Keswick is a pleasant town in the Lake District beside Derwent Water. Plenty of restaurants and pubs. There is a market on Thursdays. The Pencil Museum is worth a visit, small but full of interesting facts on the manufacture and use of all types of pencil. The circular boat trip around Derwent Water is a pleasant way to spend an hour.

The countryside around Keswick is beautiful.
The countryside around Keswick is beautiful. The views from Catbells are fantastic and it is a relatively easy climb, but VERY busy and almost a procession. The Pencil Museum was brilliant, really interesting and well done, we had a quiz sheet to complete, and it enhanced the experience. The town was busy, but not unpleasantly so, there are lots of independent shops and cafes. We also went to a play at the Theatre at the Lake, which is a lovely venue. The Keswick Museum is small but interesting.

A good range of restaurants and cafes.
A good range of restaurants and cafes. Keswick is well placed as a base to explore the Lake District and local stores contained all items you might need whether looking for an energetic or leisurely experience.
Made to feel welcome by every single member of staff. Great with our dog. Beautiful place. Modern lovely rooms. Nice additions in the room, biscuits, water, tea, coffee, shampoo, shower gel, bathrobe etc etc. Great shower. Nice choice of breakfast, enjoyed the porridge and full Cumbria breakfast which was really nice, perfectly cooked, really tasty ingredients, could not fault it. And to top it off based right in the centre of Keswick. Would highly recommend.
location and staff are the best thing about the hotel. there was an issue with being charged double for our stay but the staff were very good about it and got it sorted and refunded within a day. the location is great, only a 15 minute scenic walk into Keswick town centre. views of derwentwater from the hotel beer garden. the breakfast was amazing as well, all of our group was very happy with that.
Our stay in this hotel was just amazing. Sarah is very nice and funny person and she is doing the best breakfast. She also gave us good ideas where to go in Keswick and the lakes which was very helpfull. Room and bathroom were clean. Hotel is situated just 15 mins walking distance from town centre and the view from hotel is beautiful. I highly recommend this hotel. I will definitely come back there
Cragwood B&B is fantastic, we stayed 4 nights and we loved everything. Emma and Shaun are lovely hosts and provided everything that we needed. The breakfast is delicious, the cleanliness of the place is perfect, the building and rooms are very well maintained and decorated. It’s very close to the town centre, where it’s possible to find good places to eat.
Located overlooking the main square in Keswick means it can get a bit noisy but the benefits of easy access to all of the town centre amenities far outweighed that inconvenience. The room was spacious and the bathroom was very modern and well equipped. The hotel public areas were well maintained and the restaurant service and food quality was very good.
The room was excellent, very comfy bed and a powerful shower! The hosts accommodated us when we were delayed on our arrival which was really appreciated and they cooked us a fabulous breakfast each day! Located a 5 min walk from Keswick town centre and there was parking available at the property. Would certainly recommend :)
superb breakfast, really good quality ingredients and very friendly hosts. Dog friendly and made you feel so welcome. Proximity to town centre was superb and couldn't really asked for a nicer stay. Even did me a late breakfast as i was doing the Keswick parkrun at 9 am.
Lovely base and place to stay. Room was comfortable and the hosts were exceptional. We were walked to Threlkeld and back to Keswick, easy access by foot to Keswick Town Centre. Visited Grasmere twice. Walked half round derwentwater and spent half day at Forest near by.
The location was excellent, especially for walking into Keswick. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was lovely and fresh. The grounds of the hotel are great, I can imagine in the summer it will be a lovely place to sit and take in the view.
The host and staff were very helpful and friendly. The meals were tremendous, the steak and gammon were cooked exactly the way we asked. The hotel is such good value for your money and is right in the middle of Keswick. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
The staff were lovely, very pleasant and courteous. The building is a beautiful well maintained Victorian building and the off road parking was important to me as the roads in Keswick were very narrow. Just a short distance from a lively little town centre.
We had a fabulous break at the hotel. Lovely old Victorian building well restored to a high standard. Brilliant staff, lovely food and restaurant and a relaxing lounge area. 5 min walk to town centre. Overall I would highly recommend!!
Excellent location. Friendly staff. Breakfast was great. View overllooking woodlands and the lake in the distance was fantastic. Close to the town centre and close to the lakeside. All in all a great stay in Keswick.
It's an excellently located hotel that gives easy access to the best of Keswick. The rooms are great, spacious and comfortable. The staff are welcoming and upbeat making us both feel very comfortable the whole stay
Location was5 minutes from Keswick town centre. Hosts were terrific, friendly and extremely knowledgable of the area. Hotel was spotless. Breakfast varied and top quality. Definitely going’s back soon.
Lovely hotel. Great welcome especially as i was potentially delayed then wasn't. Comfortable room, good location and view just out of town centre. Very nice breakfast
Excellent location very close to the town centre but also very quiet. Car parking was an important consideration so to have a reserved space ticked every box.
