From the moment we stepped into the hotel to the moment we left we were welcomed by friendly, helpful staff in all areas. Very helpful and accommodating. Very well presented. We felt like we were staying in a five-star hotel! At first I thought we had the wrong place! It's such an eco-friendly hotel and very environmentally friendly. It's exactly what we look for in our hotels. The room was absolutely beautiful very cozy and perfect for us. So clean and well kept - a nut was even left on the pillow which was a beautiful touch. We could see the Sea ⛵ from our window and easy to park nearby. The food was amazing. Lots to choose from and plenty of it. Literally a stone throw away from the sea front. It felt like a second home rather than a hotel. We will definitely be returning to this hotel again very soon.

Allowed 5 in a room. Had clear view of the water. Best towels so far on our Europe Trip! Close to many dining options in folkstone. Shower fixtures were great. It's an apartment in an old building so had its quarks but overall it met all of our needs.

Folkestone was a lovely surprise - so much to see and do - art everywhere, of all kinds (lights , sounds and sights!) museum great, lots of history, very wide range of restaurants and pubs. Great for families with the golden beaches and the harbour area with its surprise squirting fountain area! Cheerful place, quirky too. Easy to get buses for only 3 pounds each to neighbouring Canterbury, Hythe and Dungeness (adventures!) A vinyl record shop, traditional impressive promenade and gardens, free music at the bandstand - loved it!

Gorgeous - beautiful Sunny Sands Beach, Icecream and path way to the coast as you go further along to the Gold area via the stairs - such a peaceful area with the sound of birds. The harbour is beautiful in the sun and so lovely at night time for a walk. The old high street - for shopping lots of trendy things to buy. The best homemade elderflower ice lollies from the artisan shop for a pound only and the best kingsland spring water fruit drinks The Atma lounge on high street - highly recommend for meditation and peace, great food on Sundays and early morning breakfast and check out their secret garden via their shop next door. For vegans and veggies - check out - Cafe Atma - the cheapest cafe on the planet with great food in Hythe/Saltwood area. Open 11-2.30pm (hot food) and then until 4pm with a beautiful brockhill park next to it. Cons - not much choice of pure vegan and veggie restaurants. Taxis to get around are a bit expensive and supermarkets are a bit of a walk from the harbour and sunny sands beach

Love the harbour arm little shops and eateries.

Love the harbour arm little shops and eateries. Very clean and offer a good variety. The old High Street is cute, also known as The Creative Quarter. Quite steep but with lots of quirky shops and cafes. We had a delicious evening meal in Marleys in the Creative Quarter. Great portions, very tasty and reasonably priced.

a few decent bars and restaurants but most places close early. Lots of little interesting shops and a thriving art scene. Excellent restoration of the harbour arm. Major problem is the complete lack of free parking - very off putting and expensive. Lots of food and drink outlets on the harbour arm but almost missed some of them as not obvious they were there and open (though was early in the tourist season)

Friendly down to earth staff. The hotel bar is a chilled place to enjoy a leisurely evening drink. Folkestone is only a ten minute bus ride away, with a bus stop right outside the hotel. Saves using the car, and allows a drink or two if dining out! Our room was quite adequate, with a super comfy superking bed. Although on a busy through route traffic was calm at night and did not disturb sleep. We will return!!

The location is ideal. Near the station and right by the beach. Folkestone is lovely, and the hotel looks out to sea. The room was comfortable and clean in a basic way, and perfectly fine for 1 or 2 nights. I would stay again but only after building work has finished.

Contrary to popular opinion, I love the way the hotel looks like a ship from the outside. The room was very comfortable for a family of four as were the beds. Big TV and super close to all the attractions of Folkestone's regenerated port area.
