The room was okay. This is older place that has been done up. The bed was comfortable. The internet worked well. The shared bathroom was clean and tidy. Close to lots of shops and take aways. We parked in their free car park.

This is one of the best places I have stayed. You can see the beach from the kitchen window and takes 2 mins to get there. Fantastic lodge and great location. Everything a traveller could need. Clean and cosy, I have already booked to stay again!

    Lovely town with much more to explore than an overnight offered. Lots of local shops, bars and eateries catering for all tastes. A bit of history with the Stan Laurel museum and the start of the famous Cumbrian way walk.

    The people and cleanliness of Ulverston are second to none. Really nice local shops (Nice to see used shops and not boarded up). There is a good selection of local restaurants and pubs to sit and watch the world go by. Well done to the residents of Ulverston you should be proud.

    Ulverston is a lovely little town.

    Ulverston is a lovely little town. It has wide range of pubs restaurants and bars. Some beautiful little craft and boutique shops with warm and friendly owners/staff. Home of legendary Stan Laurel with commemerative statue of himself and Oliver Hardy 😁Surrounding area stunning with lighthouse and canal walks close by. Love this area as also within vicinity to lots of cumbrian attractions. Definitely worth a visit or stay.

    This town is a little gem on the edge of the Lake District...

    This town is a little gem on the edge of the Lake District national park. It’s an excellent base from which to explore the southern and western lakes, an area, nestled on Morecambe Bay, that is steeped in a fabulous industrial history and blessed with spectacular scenery. Oft overlooked in favour of the busier tourist areas, a visit to Ulverston is highly recommended.

    well because it was bank holiday alot of shops closed but the walk up to the hoad is very pleasant buses were on bank holiday times but you can get them and a train car is very useful to go to various other areas .

    Disappointed in our stay at the cabin, which lacked home...

    Disappointed in our stay at the cabin, which lacked home comforts and extra touches (I.e complementary toiletries). It did have a dried up gecko in the bathroom, testament to the quick wipe down between guests. I appreciate it was a Feb stay, however the ‘tranquil’ surroundings reviewed by other guests amounted to a severely pot holed and waterlogged track and scrub land surrounding the cabin. No welcome on arrival, keys left in the door and a brief fleeting glimpse of I’m assuming the owner who came to feed the horses, no words were exchanged. Fire was nice, although few complimentary logs to get us started. Welcome pack consisted of a sign , blutached to the wall to inform us to depart at 10.30 PROMPT. We did!

    We had a great stay at Swarthmoor Hall. The location is incredibly peaceful, offering a lovely getaway surrounded by nature, yet only a short distance from Ulverston town centre. The beautifully maintained gardens were a highlight. The accommodation itself was both cozy and comfortable. With a lot of luggage, we truly appreciated being able to drive right up to the front of the accommodation to unload before parking, which made our arrival so much easier. We recommend staying at Swarthmoor Hall.

    Log Home Village was the perfect romantic getaway - a 30 minute scenic walk to the centre of Ulverston. Fully equipped kitchen, great wifi, working fireplace, Netflix, spacious and cozy at the same time. Highly recommend for a unique stay. We enjoyed the sound of roosters in the morning (not too early, which was perfect), and the little patio to enjoy a cup of tea in the mornings. It was a perfect base for exploring the Lake District, and even in mid-winter, the heating kept the place nice and warm!

    Really enjoyed our stay at a hotel so far removed from the usual, formulaic Premier Inn/Holiday Inn model. Friendly and attentive staff. Wonderful views from the hotel of the Leven Estuary and part of Morecambe Bay. So quiet at night too - a rare treat these days. Cracking cooked breakfast too.
