Allowed 5 in a room. Had clear view of the water. Best towels so far on our Europe Trip! Close to many dining options in folkstone. Shower fixtures were great. It's an apartment in an old building so had its quarks but overall it met all of our needs.

We love the room accommodations and the view of the sea, we stayed in a king suite with Seaview. I am madly in love with the bathtub, and the overall decor of the room was stunning. The bed was very comfortable.

From the moment we stepped into the hotel to the moment we left we were welcomed by friendly, helpful staff in all areas. Very helpful and accommodating. Very well presented. We felt like we were staying in a five-star hotel! At first I thought we had the wrong place! It's such an eco-friendly hotel and very environmentally friendly. It's exactly what we look for in our hotels. The room was absolutely beautiful very cozy and perfect for us. So clean and well kept - a nut was even left on the pillow which was a beautiful touch. We could see the Sea ⛵ from our window and easy to park nearby. The food was amazing. Lots to choose from and plenty of it. Literally a stone throw away from the sea front. It felt like a second home rather than a hotel. We will definitely be returning to this hotel again very soon.

The town centre and harbour had a lot or character and there was a good friendly atmosphere there. The biggest surprise was the quality of the restaurants. We had an evening meal in two excellent ones Marleys and Sotiros

a few decent bars and restaurants but most places close early. Lots of little interesting shops and a thriving art scene. Excellent restoration of the harbour arm. Major problem is the complete lack of free parking - very off putting and expensive. Lots of food and drink outlets on the harbour arm but almost missed some of them as not obvious they were there and open (though was early in the tourist season)

Everyone we met was pleasant, friendly and proud of their town. Parts are quite run-down but there are also some lovely older buildings. Parking can be difficult but there are plenty of signed car parks. The coast towards Hythe and Brighton was very interesting to visit.

Lots of shopping and the harbour was full of units cooking different cuisine, few shops could have had more variety but interesting. We ate at The Mariner on the quay that evening, one of the nicest meals we’ve had & can recommend the filet steak, chef makes all his own deserts apparently, cheesecake was yummy and staff friendly and helpful.

The location of this huge and dated behemoth couldn't be beaten. Our room (8th floor) had a view to die for. Looking out across the Straits of Dover, with the ferries constantly on the horizon to remind those in Folkestone of what they used to have (the remains of the Harbour station which once saw dozens of ferries every day stands as a silent testimony in front of the hotel. The food and service was very limited but just about acceptable, which was what we had expected.

Busy but quiet during our stay. We had a newly refurbished large room with a very comfortable bed. Close to the sea ( we had a nice view from our room on the stormy sea) and close to the centre of Folkestone to get something to eat if you do not want to eat in the hotel restaurant. Breakfast is good. Last but not least: very nice staff
