Very small, historic town, very olde world, friendly people, not over burdened with gift shops, lots of pubs in a small area. Most offering good traditional cooking. Like the castle, it's small but well kept. If you like fish and chips, they are wonderful from the blue crab.
Best pub, wheatshief, friendly, good beer, good food and dog friendly.

Yarmouth has a good hotel and some great restaurants.
Yarmouth has a good hotel and some great restaurants. It is a ferry port for a rail-connected ferry to the mainland of England and has a good bus service to other parts of the Isle of Wight. It is surrounded by countryside with some good walks and pleasant beaches.

Lovely little town with great hotels, inns, restaurants and shops. Handy for sailing and boating people, but for landlubbers like me, too, with ferry from Lymington right in the town. Buses take you all over the island from the handy bus station. Lots of good walks.

Lovely little place. Great local facilities.
Lovely little place. Great local facilities. Easy access by road to rest of island. Beautiful coastal walks and interesting local history, especially Yarmouth Castle and Fort Victoria. Stunning sunsets from the pier
The George is in an excellent location, close to the sea, in the centre of charming town of Yarmouth, and very close to the ferry. it combines old world ambience with modern standard facilities. I ate in the restaurant two nights, and food was excellent, with good service. The bed was fantastically comfortable, and bathroom a good size for an otherwise small room.
Location is excellent with some of the Island's best walks and scenery on the doorstep, the best beaches a couple of miles to the south and the creek just to the north. On a main bus route to Newport and the Yarmouth ferry.
Right next to the Alpacas with views of the alpacas from the window.
Immaculately clean.
Most gracious host.
The owner is very welcoming and accommodating person. The house itself is very spacious and has everything we wanted. Location is amazing with few steps away from a very relaxing walk by the sea. Yarmouth is around 10mins walking away.
Great apartment in the centre of Yarmouth, a 5 minute walk from the ferry terminal.
