The hotel is situated in a lovely area of Totland, just a few minutes walk from the beach where there are two good restaurants. It is a large detached property sitting in lovely grounds. There is parking for guests, with the car park being situated near the front door. The communal areas of the hotel are nicely decorated, and include a ground floor dining room (only breakfasts are available) and two guest lounges. There is also a room set aside for guests to help themselves to drinks and snacks as required. When we stayed, an "honesty box" was in use. Breakfasts are fantastic. Guests can order a very tasty cooked breakfast (inc vegetarian option) plus items like yogurt, fresh fruit, pastries, cereals, etc from the well stocked buffet. For Covid-19 reasons, guests must choose items from the buffet, which are then served by an efficient lady called Bridget. This avoids anyone touching the food! We were tempted to eat so much for breakfast that we couldn't eat lunch on a few occasions! Our bedroom was a good size had a pleasant side view over the road and adjacent houses, and was clean and fresh. Our en-suite bathroom had a shower but not a bath, which was fine. The king-size bed was extremely comfortable, as were the pillows and we slept very well. There were tea/coffee making facilities in the room, plus biscuits. Slices of home made cake were also left in the room on several occasions, which was a nice touch. Our hosts Mark and Gayle were very welcoming, and extremely friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. We will return!!!

Prompt communication on Booking.com from owners. Helpful, welcoming staff to greet us on arrival. Fabulous flat with wonderful sea views. Flat was very well equipped and comfortable. Thoughtfully chosen welcome pack of food and drinks. Great restaurants nearby. We loved it.

The apartment was great. Stunned to find such a gem on the fantastic Isle of Wight with the most amazing view. It was perfect for what we wanted. We will definitely be back. The addition of the beach hut was “genius”.

The location is great, the cottage has everything we needed. There were some nice touches when we arrived, cake/tea/coffee/milk etc - so lovely. Everything like house rules etc was very clear. My dad has dementia and the layout was really easy for him to navigate. We loved our stay and will return and definitely recommend! Super special few days away in a lovely home and great garden. Beware if you take a dog the garden isn’t fully enclosed, there’s a patch in the hedge they can get through if you have a little escape artist like ours.

I think Totland is fairly typical of this part of the Island - few shops and not enough restaurants. Quiet and pretty, it might be a little dull for families with children, but lovely for a single older traveller.

Fabulous location with plenty of options for eating and drinking and walking with views over the Solent to Hurst castle. The Waterfront restaurant was great food. Very close to the landmark attraction of the Needles. Lots of take away options around too. Easy travelling from the ferry port at Yarmouth.

We only had a short trip to Totland but would recommend travellers to go to The Waterfront restaurant and enjoy the sunset. Easy to get to 'The Needle'. From here take a costal drive/walk along Military Rd, very relaxing and beautiful coast.

This is on the west side of I of W.
This is on the west side of I of W. easy of access via the Yarmouth ferry. There may not be so many bistros and restaurants but those that are here, The Waterfront and the Hut are great places to eat right on the beach and fantastic sunsets with the Needles in view.

Great views and walks around the headland. The Visitor Centre at the needles looked v tired and tacky. And, sorry to say, but I felt that the National Trust wanting £7.85 for gift aid entry to Battery but only £7.10 for standard entry a bit bizarre. If they want to claim tax back, fine, but why should it be more expensive for me. We didn't go in

Totland is a nice, primarily residential area close to the sea. Regular walkers would find it easy and very enjoyable to walk from here out to the Needles. The local sea front is only two minutes away. There are two good seafront restaurants here - the Waterfront at Totland, and the Hut, just 1-2 miles to the South. The Red Lion in nearby Freshwater is excellent, though you must book a table.

From $178 per nightFabulous location right on the seafront with a cafe and restaurant within easy walking distance. Added benefit of being able to leave the keys in a key safe when going to the beach. Only 10 minutes drive from the port at Yarmouth. The sunsets were beautiful and the views generally from the balcony made it very special. Lovely walk over the Headon Warren for a view of the Needles and Colwell Bay about 20 mins walk away.

Lovely coastal location, great for walks or nearby Yarmouth for sailing. Good size room immaculately presented with sea views. Nice outdoor terrace and lounge area albeit we had little time to enjoy them due to our busy schedule out on the water. Staff cheerful, friendly & nothing was too much trouble, even posting some clothes back to us that we left in the wardrobe! Overall excellent hotel & facilities.

The beds were very comfortable and the property nicely decorated. It’s an old property but in the main it was presented in a modern style. It is very close to Totland Bay and the needles.
