Located in Totland, just 2 miles from The Needles Old Battery, Beachside Apartment, 1 Pilots Point has beachfront accommodations with a restaurant, a garden, barbecue facilities and free WiFi. Staff we encountered were very friendly and super helpful. Great layout and awesome views. Plenty of living space and very comfortable for us all. Ease of access to the waterfront. Well equipped and functional kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher. Everyone was impressed with how spacious it was inside and how homely it felt. You know it’s a good venue when you don’t want to leave!
Garden Apartment, 2 Pilots Point is located in Totland, 2 mi from The Needles Old Battery, and offers a balcony, garden, and free WiFi. The property features sea views. Spectacular view of the sunset over the sea. Super comfy beds. The welcome pack was excellent. Walk over Headon Warren to the Needles.
Fabulous location with plenty of options for eating and drinking and walking with views over the Solent to Hurst castle. The Waterfront restaurant was great food. Very close to the landmark attraction of the Needles. Lots of take away options around too. Easy travelling from the ferry port at Yarmouth.
We only had a short trip to Totland but would recommend travellers to go to The Waterfront restaurant and enjoy the sunset. Easy to get to 'The Needle'. From here take a costal drive/walk along Military Rd, very relaxing and beautiful coast.
This is on the west side of I of W. easy of access via the Yarmouth ferry. There may not be so many bistros and restaurants but those that are here, The Waterfront and the Hut are great places to eat right on the beach and fantastic sunsets with the Needles in view.
Great views and walks around the headland. The Visitor Centre at the needles looked v tired and tacky. And, sorry to say, but I felt that the National Trust wanting £7.85 for gift aid entry to Battery but only £7.10 for standard entry a bit bizarre. If they want to claim tax back, fine, but why should it be more expensive for me. We didn't go in
Totland is a nice, primarily residential area close to the sea. Regular walkers would find it easy and very enjoyable to walk from here out to the Needles. The local sea front is only two minutes away. There are two good seafront restaurants here - the Waterfront at Totland, and the Hut, just 1-2 miles to the South. The Red Lion in nearby Freshwater is excellent, though you must book a table.
It was nice to visit the place, went on the cables cars to the Niddles, which was a great experience. Visited a few lovely shops there. The Model Village is absolutely an amazing stunning place. I would recommend to everyone.
Sarah and Jean-Pierre and staff always provide a warm welcome and nothing is too much trouble to provide. This is the third time we have stayed at Sentry Mead and for the past three years the accommodation has been excellent. Breakfast is superb, the rooms are always clean and well appointed with little refinements such as complementary dressing robes. The location is ideal for exploring the island and my only regret is that I can only give this Hotel a 10 score as in my book it is a 15 out of 10.
Fabulous location right on the seafront with a cafe and restaurant within easy walking distance. Added benefit of being able to leave the keys in a key safe when going to the beach. Only 10 minutes drive from the port at Yarmouth. The sunsets were beautiful and the views generally from the balcony made it very special. Lovely walk over the Headon Warren for a view of the Needles and Colwell Bay about 20 mins walk away.
Wonderful apartment in a fantastic location overlooking the sea with the most wonderful sunsets! Jo has really thought about the client's and the staff's safety in putting together her covid 19 regime. We felt really safe during our stay and Totland Bay is a quiet, perfect location. Our Granddaughter loved playing on the beach and the lovely beach hut provided was a real bonus. Will definitely return next year.
Beautiful views and location. Good communal seating with outstanding views of the sea. Great for a family occasion and young kids. Waterfront restaurant/bar and local hut provided great breakfasts/ local food and IoW gin!!
