So much to see inside and outside Rome.
So much to see inside and outside Rome. No car?, no problem if you have easy access to public transportation. Rome has a very good transportation system and cheap! Keep Ostiene Antica in mind to visit. A ruined oldest city just outside Rome. Well worth the visit! Free entrance on Thursday and it seems like a lot of attractions are free on Thursdays.

Rome is an incredible place to visit! Keep your mind open; there is a lot of contrast, but the joy of life you will feel there is unmatched. The best months to visit would be March, April, May, October and November. Take guided tours if you want to visit places like the Colosseum, the Vatican, the Pantheon, and so on. The Old City Center (Barberini metro station) is amazing in the evenings, filled with cafe's, restaurants, and happy people enjoying life. Fontana di Trevi is amazing after 10 PM, and you might be witnessing marriage proposals there as well :) The Italian food is the best in the world, in my opinion, so embrace carbs, good wine, and smiles and go make some memories! 🙌AncaRomania - 6.0Scored 6.0

It is a beautiful city but now way too many visitors. It detracts big time from the enjoyment. The queuing to see sights has become ridiculous. Even with 'skip the line' tickets you have to queue (in 1 case for just over 1 hour). We squeezed in almost all what we wanted to see in 4 days but is was tiring and I doubt we will return.

Try to book for main places in advance and if you take the public transport (like buses) GET INFORMED ABOUT HOW TO PAY AND VALIDATE YOUR TICKET! We found few people paying fines just because of lack of information about how to validate the ticket. Rome is a fantastic city break.
Rome is a fantastic city break. From the airport we took the coach to the Stazione Termini and then the metro and short walk to our hotel, on the way back we took the metro and train back to the airport. All routes of travel are cheap and efficient. Pre book your tours to the Vatican and Colosseum before you travel (we used Viator) this will save queuing. Any other attractions visit earlier on in the day or later on in the afternoon to avoid crowds. Castel Sant Angelo is worth a visit and has amazing views of Rome. Beware of scammers along the bridge who want to shake your hand and then will place a cheap bracelet on your wrist and expect you to pay for it! Also rose sellers, keep your hands in your pockets and your valuables safe!! The Colosseum and Palatino is fascinating as well as St Peters Square and St Peters Basilica. Our tour included climbing up to the dome and seeing the tombs. Loads of beautiful buildings and pop in to any church to have a look around. Restaurants and cafes are fantastic, slightly cheaper away from any main sites, just walk a few blocks away. Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain worth a visit but not peak time and also a bit underwhelming and touristy! Supermarkets are great to get souvenirs to bring home, lots of cheap different pastas biscuits chocolates and drinks! If you're going to Rome it's for the history, culture and food, all of which were fantastic. Because it's so popular it extremely busy so be patient, move slowly and soak in your surroundings. If you want quiet and solitude then pick a different destination. We some sights without any form of guide (book, audio or person) and I wouldn't recommend it. Stories really help bring the history to life, Oh, and eat Gelato, lot's of it, it will help you enjoy Rome even more!NigelUnited Kingdom

The place itself was comfortable, clean, spacious and nicely appointed. In fact, the bed was the most comfortable bed we slept in since our Italy trip started! Guglielmo was easy to communicate with and recommended some really great food options including gelato. I would absolutely recommend a stay!

We walked to go and uber to come back. The area looks scary, a bit too dirty, but you have a lot of tourists going by. We stayed in the hotel when we got to italy and when we left, one night each time. I don't think I would stay in this hotel to really visit rome for several days. For a night is more than ok, next to the train station, the staff is very nice!

We also had free coffee and croissants in the morning. We definately would book this hotel again.
