Rome is a wonderful city to visit! Lots of places to see and great atmosphere. Try to book for main places in advance and if you take the public transport (like buses) GET INFORMED ABOUT HOW TO PAY AND VALIDATE YOUR TICKET! We found few people paying fines just because of lack of information about how to validate the ticket. Try to get information about this online to avoid unpleasant surprises.

Rome is a fantastic city break.
Rome is a fantastic city break. From the airport we took the coach to the Stazione Termini and then the metro and short walk to our hotel, on the way back we took the metro and train back to the airport. All routes of travel are cheap and efficient.
Pre book your tours to the Vatican and Colosseum before you travel (we used Viator) this will save queuing. Any other attractions visit earlier on in the day or later on in the afternoon to avoid crowds. Castel Sant Angelo is worth a visit and has amazing views of Rome. Beware of scammers along the bridge who want to shake your hand and then will place a cheap bracelet on your wrist and expect you to pay for it! Also rose sellers, keep your hands in your pockets and your valuables safe!! The Colosseum and Palatino is fascinating as well as St Peters Square and St Peters Basilica. Our tour included climbing up to the dome and seeing the tombs. Loads of beautiful buildings and pop in to any church to have a look around. Restaurants and cafes are fantastic, slightly cheaper away from any main sites, just walk a few blocks away. Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain worth a visit but not peak time and also a bit underwhelming and touristy! Supermarkets are great to get souvenirs to bring home, lots of cheap different pastas biscuits chocolates and drinks! There are lots of cars in the city, be careful when crossing the roads!!

If you're going to Rome it's for the history, culture and food, all of which were fantastic. Because it's so popular it extremely busy so be patient, move slowly and soak in your surroundings. If you want quiet and solitude then pick a different destination. We some sights without any form of guide (book, audio or person) and I wouldn't recommend it. Stories really help bring the history to life, Oh, and eat Gelato, lot's of it, it will help you enjoy Rome even more!

Hotel Prati is within walking distance of St Peter Square, the bus stop is a block away, there are plenty of restaurants around, area is quiet at night ,
The hotel Lobby is quite small and can only handle small groups together, along with the luggage.
Elevator is also small 2 people max. or 1 person with luggage. It works well.
Rush hour and random narrow streets can be difficult to maneuver for foreign drivers. Parking at the Hotel is on the street, Public transportation is probably the best choice all around.

Amazing city with so much cultural and wonderful food.
Amazing city with so much cultural and wonderful food. Transport links are efficient and regular. Look for side street eateries as these are frequented by locals and the cost is much cheaper than in the main tourist areas. If you find a great restaurant see if you can book for your next visit as we were disappointed the next time we went as it was full and a queue to get it!! Avoid public holidays they are so busy.

My first visit to Rome was amazing.
My first visit to Rome was amazing.
The city is so vibrant with so many historic buildings.
I enjoyed my stay at New Morpheus Rooms Bed and Breakfast. The hotel is very close to all the attractions.
Gracia to Alessica 🙏😍
Delicious restaurants within steps from the door. We definitely recommend for a less hectic experience in Rome with quick access to all of the historical sites. The area had a more neighborhood feel to it that was greatly appreciated. The place itself was comfortable, clean, spacious and nicely appointed. In fact, the bed was the most comfortable bed we slept in since our Italy trip started! Guglielmo was easy to communicate with and recommended some really great food options including gelato. I would absolutely recommend a stay!
The location is excellent but unlike many 5 star hotels the staff were fantastic - not at all pretentious or pompous but extremely helpful, polite and very down to earth.
We are lucky to have experienced many 5 star hotels around the globe but this is one of the best with great facilities, lovely spa staff and an excellent location too!
The bar has an extraordinary manager who spoke super English and was extremely hospitable!
We regularly travel to Italy and we will definitely stay here again!
If you travel by train, it is convenient, a bit far from classic tourist monuments, if you have good energy to walk, is not a problem. We walked to go and uber to come back. The area looks scary, a bit too dirty, but you have a lot of tourists going by. We stayed in the hotel when we got to italy and when we left, one night each time. I don't think I would stay in this hotel to really visit rome for several days. For a night is more than ok, next to the train station, the staff is very nice!
The Room was well laid out and was super convenient to the Metro station, just steps away from the entrance. The bed/pillows were one of the most comfortable I had during my 2 week journey through Italy.
AC was able to keep the room cold on a hot summer evening. And the washroom/shower was surprisingly spacious compared to the average Italian accommodation.
Keep in mind this is not a 4 or 5 star hotel. But the room was was far from basic, and Rome can be expensive (even for hostels)
It was the best hotel we stayed in throughout Italy. Hotel Everest Inn - Rome was the best compared to our hotels in Milan, Florence and Naples. The room was a great size for 2 people, bright and clean including the bathroom. The staff at reception, including Ivan were very helpful and friendly and also allowed us to freshen up after we checked out and had to come back for our luggage. We also had free coffee and croissants in the morning. We definately would book this hotel again.
Excellent host met us to handover the keys. We only stayed for one night but she gave us a bunch of recommendations for restaurants as well as Chiesa di Santa Maria della Concezione dei Cappuccini which is right up the road. I have stayed in quite a few rentals throughout Italy and this was the first without a moka pot, but there was a coffee maker available. For the price I would absolutely stay here again, super convenient to many of the places you'll want to see in Rome.
This is my first stay at any hotel in Italy and I can honestly say that the receptionist set a high standard, the check in process was easy and accommodating, recommending me her own personal favorite restaurants that aren't tourist traps and wow that made the trip really great, eating authentic Italian food is the best way to start discovering Rome.
The rooftop for breakfast was fantastic, having some options to eat before walking around in Rome was helpful.
we loved the location even though the metro, train station, tram and buses where on the doorstep we preferred to walk so we could see more of this beautiful city, the staff were very friendly and helpful. breakfast is offered which is coffee and pastries, which is mainly offered all over Italy. after a day of exploring Rome there are a couple of amazing restaurants just up the road from the hotel that don’t over charge and deliver good service and quality food
The location was perfect for me. It's my favorite part of Rome and the hotel is so convenient and easily accessible.. The staff were all friendly and really helpful. The breakfast was excellent and I loved being able to have a cappucino made for me (rather than out of a machine like many other "included" breakfasts I've had in italy). Having a kettle in the room was a nice surprise as well. This will be my 'go to" hotel in Rome from now on!
This was our second stay at Hotel Trastevere within a 10-day period. (We started and ended our trip to Italy in Rome, with visits elsewhere in the middle.) Once again, we greatly enjoyed the location, the friendly and helpful staff, and the daily breakfast. Although it probably doesn't have all the amenities that some larger or more expensive hotels do, it had almost a family atmosphere, and we felt very much at home.
location was perfect, the suite, the bed… everything perfect and clean. but what I liked the best was the attention from Lucio at the front desk. he knows so much about the history of Rome and can give you tips of where to go. I was doing a bike trip through Italy . I’m glad I stayed at this beautiful hotel and met him
Within walking distance of most of Rome's most famous places.
The staff is friendly and helpful, and also knows good English, which is apparently rare for Italy.
There is an excellent restaurant right around the corner, with a discount for the customers of the hotel.
Large and adorable apartment in the heart of Rome with a balcony! We had breakfast on the balcony daily and were walking distance to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Stairs, and Colosseum. This was our favorite hotel out of 5 on our tour of France and Italy!
The rooms were lovely and big for Rome, and the hotel was extremely clean. Also, unusually for Italy, we found the bed really comfortable. The elevator was fully functional which was great because we were travelling with a baby. A good breakfast spread as well.
The hotel was in close proximity to Trastevere and the bus to the Rome Termini. The room was large compared to the hotels we have stayed in when in Italy. The rooftop breakfast area provided a great view toward the centre of Rome. Definitely a recommendation.
Best Hotel during our trip true Italy.
Very kind and helpful receptionist. Clean and comfortable room. Amazing rooftop terrace!
Top breakfast!! We will be back soon to Rome and only in that Hotel. Grazie
The breakfast was excellent. It.was the best complimentary breakfast of all the hotels we stayed in on our Italy. The staff was extremely friendly. It was just a short walk from the train station.
Omar at the reception is a gem
He has amazing tips for activities in Rome and across Italy. He's super proactive and extremely polite and friendly.
A real hotelier!
Breakfast, staff, bed and pillows were excellent. Many hotels in Italy, specifically the beds and pillows, are lacking so they did a great job with this detail.
