Great location! Myeongdong, Insandong and Cheonggyecheon stream are within walking distance. Staff was super friendly, spoke English and helped with any and all things. They helped with taxies, luggage storage and were just really friendly. Room was ample(deluxe family twin) for our family of 3. I would stay here again. 110v outlets were also in the room. Convenience store also attached to hotel. Great hotel!!

The staff (front desk and housekeeping) were all great. The location is a working neighborhood so it gets pretty busy around lunchtime and the end of the workday. There aren’t a lot of touristy things to do that are close by. Deoksugung Palace is within walking distance and Myeongdong is two train stops away. There are a lot of restaurants in the area because it is very close to city hall. The area is quiet. If you are traveling by taxi, some may have difficulty finding the hotel but most don’t. They do have valet if needed. The cafe was closed during our stay. The pool and gym were available for use. The room was small for 3 people and 3 beds but we made it work. We had to live out of our suitcases for the trip because there wasn’t any storage space but that wasn’t a deal breaker.

Lively town with an accessible public transportation. A-lot of attractions are close by to the subway and is easy to reach. Subway malls like Gotomall was well worth the visit. Coex mall was also a fun place to spend your time shopping and relaxing. Seoul is definitely a place to visit for its culture, food and shopping.

Fabulous city - great food choices, shopping, art, ancient temples and palaces are so beautiful. Great shopping, fabulous convenience stores, many fun activities such as photo booths, games cafes, cafe culture, the list could go on. There are many neighbourhoods to explore. Seoul is also a late night city and felt very safe as a solo female traveller.
Travel is very easy and reasonable (buy a T money card) on metro/trains and plenty of trains to travel all over Korea even at short notice.

Fantastic city!
Fantastic city!
I would highly recommend Ikseon old village, walk along the Seoul city wall, Insadong, nice cafés in the Hanok village, Seoungsu neighbourhood, DMT tour, visit to Suwon and walk by the Hwaseoung Fortress, Michelin recommended restaurants! A running tour by the Cheonggyecheon. is highly recommended.
Location was great, super close to public transit and central to Myongdong area. You are also within walking distance of countless restaurants, convenience stores, etc. Definitely sign up for rewards program if you plan to visit again. I was given an upgrade during my second stay at Lotte between traveling back and forth from Seoul to Busan. Lotte is a popular chain all throughout Korea so we stayed in multiple Lotte hotels and they were great. Always near public transit, department stores and restaurants.
We are travelling with 2 children (2yo and 4yo). The place is perfect for them to move around, very spacious. The location is superb, near metro station, walking distance to myeongdong, near ciry hall, and etc. Room is very clean and we get new towels everyday. 2 bathrooms really helpful for a big family like ours. This is a very good place to stay, even our friend who lives in korea said this is a very good place when they see it. Thank you for making our first trip to korea memorable :)
My third time staying at Pacific Hotel, and it remains my go-to hotel in Seoul! It's conveniently located in front of Myeongdong station, yet away from the hustle and bustle of Myeongdong night market across the street. A no-frills, comfortable stay; the staff is also very friendly and accommodating. I left my massive luggage with them for about a week while I was travelling around Korea before checking back into Pacific Hotel, and they managed that without any issues. Highly recommended!
1. It was a warm room. The hotel is very expensive around Myeongdong, but this guesthouse is very cheap compared to the hotel.
2. As in the review, the boss also made Korean kimchi pancakes for breakfast.
3. It's close to Myeongdong Station and there's a 7-Eleven convenience store right in front of the accommodation.
4. The lights are on on the street all evening, so it's nice to be able to go around alone.
5. The Namsan Tower was right behind me, so I could see it from my room.
We loved this hotel. The hotel is right at the exit of a metro station with 3 different metro lines (especially the line 5 that connects it to Gimpo airport).
Our room was big and very clean and well organized
There is a nice rooftop, and the breakfast is both international and Korean.
It is really close to the main historical buildings of the city and the neighborhood is safe and with a lot of restaurants.
I would definitely suggest it.
The location is one of the best in Seoul. From a travelling standpoint, Seoul is divided into a few areas such Hongdae for the exciting student vibe, Myeongdong for shopping, Gangnam for the glitz and Ferraris, Itaewon for foodies, Insadong Seoul for a traditional vibe and so on.
Mercure has the absolute best location for Hongdae, just a minute’s walk from the station and central to all the action without any compromise.
My friends and I booked J garden hotel day of! It is tiny but very comfortable and clean. The host was excellent with communication. We are tourists and are still figuring out how to navigate South Korea. The hosts responsiveness was very appreciated and the check in instructions were very detailed and helpful. The location is great as well. It is about a 5 min walk to myeong dong station and market. Thank you!
I needed to stay here just for a couple of nights before leaving to Incheon airport and leave Korea, so this hotel was perfect because of its position. If you have heavy luggage it is very convenient from Seoul Station because there is an elevator coming out of the subway stop very close to the hotel. BUT there is NOT an elevator in the hotel. Luckily the staff was very nice and helped me with my heavy bags.
This was my first visit to South Korea (Myeongdong Seoul) with family. It was amazing and the people were friendly and helpful. We stayed for 3days and visited many places. The hotel is on the main street where you can see all the local activity and merchants. The room was very nice, clean. It was within a 5 minute walk to the Metro station and it couldn't have been a better location.
This is our first time to Seoul, Korea. We are glad that we chose the right hotel to stay. Koreana hotel is very strategically located and everything just a walking distant. We love the ambient of the hotel. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. They helped us to book our ride back to the airport. We will definitely be staying in Koreana Hotel during all our future trips to Korea.
Good breakfast, cozy room, close to the exhibition center.
Turn right out of the hotel to eat is more expensive, turn left and walk 100 meters to eat is cheaper.
Turn left out of the hotel and walk about 150 meters, there is a local Korean supermarket.
Take the airport bus 6703, get off at the POSCO building station and walk to the hotel.
Excellent hotel stay, room was spacious and clean, superb location, good breakfast - prefer more korean food though, staff and housekeepers friendly and nice. Best so close to mrt just few steps and shopping , restaurant area. Have already started recommending friends to stay for their holidays in Seoul!
It was super central. Great coffeeshops close by to try out. The airport bus station is 5 min away from the hotel which is also super convenient.
The staff was excellent and super professional.
I travelled for three weeks in South Korea and this was by far my best experience. Highly recommend it.
Got a free room upgrade
Very nice room for Korea 2 star, western 3 star. If I hadn't know the rating, the room is closer to 4 or 4.5 star quality. But the lobby is very small, so the rest of the hotel wasn't as impressive.
Service desk was helpful, but not all could speak English that well
Two two house was one of our best experience in the whole of South Korea, comfy beds, clean interior, huge rooms, amazing outstanding staff and communication, unbelievable good vibes and extraordinary location for a very good price
Good hotel, acceptable location. Clean rooms - everything was OK. Recommend if You want to stay in gangnam, because you have like 12 minutes walk to the subway.
