FAQs about hotels in Cusco

Timeless Incan Capital

Although it's considered the oldest inhabited city of the Americas and Peru's historical capital, neither of these truly describes the magic enchantment and colorful people of Cuzco. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, its current shape is the colonial result of building on top of many Incan sites, a good example of which is the Cathedral of Santo Domingo.

Must-see places include the walled complex of Sacsayhuamán and the remains of the main temple of Coricancha, dedicated to the Sun God, Inti. For longer Cuzco stays, hotels nePlaza de Armas central square are ideal to fully enjoy the city. Due to its 11,150-foot altitude, some Cuzco hotels offer oxygen to help their guests.

Moray, supposedly an ancient experimental agricultural station, is 29 miles away, and Lake Titicaca is 240 miles away. The road to Machu Picchu is the famous Inca Trail or "Camino Inca," which encompasses settlements, different Andean environments, and many Incan ruins.

Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport offers services to Lima. Arriving at Wanchaq Train Station or Terminal Terrestre de Cusco bus station are also popular choices. Come to visit the ancient jewel, enjoy Peru and Cuzco with the hotel deals available on Booking.com!

We fell in love with Cusco!

We fell in love with Cusco! The town is charming with its main plaza square and the old cobblestone streets. We loved strolling through the small local businesses. Also we are foodies and we could not get enough of the Peruvian dishes!

Two weeks in Cuzco were absolutely wonderful. I took a week of Spanish classes at Amauta and stayed in the San Blas área of the City. The people, the food, the weather, the siteseeing--everything exceded my expectations. What a fantastic place in its own right as well as being the Gateway to the marvels of Machu Picchu.

Cusco, at least the city center, is charming, with narrow hilly cobblestone streets to explore. Lots of good restaurants to taste the traditional Peruvian cuisines, or elevated fusioned. Love Cercanía Pan y Café, a bakery coffee shop with awesome bread options (nearby the Museum of Santa Catalina Monastery, which was House of the Chosen Women under the Incas time). The main plaza is tourist saturated but it's also the charm of traveling?

Everyone seems happy and caring. They don't seem to mind the tourists. Its very unique in so very many ways. Safe, a chance to unwind and get back to nature but with all the modern conveniences if necessary.alot of fun for every type of vacationer. Shouldn't miss the Marriott - great artisans everywhere. The food is so wonderful. Amazing. A learning experience, as well. I left an American and came home an Indian at heart.

WHAT an exciting place !!!! ZERO danger. Such sweet people. Convenient shopping everywhere. Prices are good. Amazing handcrafted work. Delicious food! Try the pizza! On the down-side - Traffic - we have a law in the USA called "following too closely". They must allow 2 car lengths - even one - would ease the fear - but, you get used to it

Amazing magical place, All they do is exploit the turist people, but still cheap to eat well, and the tours. Carefullinthe streets, the cars doe snot respect people walking and they will drive over you. Friendly people, and nice. You will get overwhelmed of people to ask you to buy their things, but it is the way it is, and Cusco is amazing. You can buy your tour in the city, everywere they selll the tours, all the same price. Cheaper to buy there than in any travel agency abroad.

This hostel was great! We booked a private room and it was the standard of a good hotel but with all of the fun and social life of the hostel. The activities were a great way to meet people and find things to do in Cusco. The food was also really delicious and reasonably priced along with the drinks. The location was very central and easy short walk to the main plaza. The hostel felt very safe with security on the door at all times. A must stay!

We enjoyed our stay at Tariq Boutique in the San Blas area of Cuzco. The room was spacious and clean, though a bit cold, but the staff provided us with an extra heater and blankets, making us very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and varied, with fresh products and a dining room offering a beautiful view of the city. The hotel's location in San Blas, just a 10-minute walk from the main square, was perfect, and the neighborhood was charming.
